I'm privileged to own the first gen S65 AMG (W220) and when I look at all these V8s of today I go thinking: No way I would trade my 65 with one of these!!! I really don't need ANY high tech features offered today! Couldn't care less if it does 0-60 on zero seconds, or its got AWD and it tells you when you need a cup of coffee! Besides, a V12 is a V12 and the V8 will always be in its shadow! When Sofian mentioned that a 4 banger will replace the V8, my brother and I both started laughing! Just plain sad! I know there is an 63e around the corner with a million hp, but it sure is no V12! Really sad where cars are heading today, all thanks to Greta and greedy politicians making big bucks by taxing what ever that is related to a car! Soon we pay tax for the air we breath!

The 2021 E63s 4.0 liter V8 does not have the mild hybrid EQ Boost system. The mild hybrid EQ Boost is found in the 2021 GLE63s SUV.

The edition 1 had the lift too plus crosswind protection or w.e. when switching lanes. I want to know what avant does w the rs7. I can fit atleast 8 golf bags or bodies. The interior is insane all lime/CF, and those glowing qmbient lights are very bright but very nice and deep. Sound wild.... don't bring a hat lol

Mercedes quality of build and materials is in a totally different class when compared to Tesla. Tesla interior materials are very low grade and cheap, their panel fit and exterior trim is still at a poor standard.

The driving experience of an e class makes you feel amazing. It's a very FUN car to drive while having all the prestige and class of a Mercedes. But yes, you guys are why the sedan is dying (not hating). I think we need reviewers that like suvs as much as the actual public. I like suvs because America has shit roads everywhere and we'll NEVER spend enough on infrastructure to fix it (or be efficient) so suvs and ground clearance is needed.

This makes me think of the old muscle car says, when gas was cheaper and a good V8 with awesome power was THE thing to own, and enjoy pushing it to its limits. I’d love one, and the price tag is in my range, but the realities of maintenance is what scares me. Every shop visit will cost you about a grand or more. Need the oil changed, $695., tune up, $1,400. And the tires alone run about two grand each to replace.

I bought a stinger even though I could have stretched and bought something like this.Its all the german brands--add in that after the basic warranty runs out--some as low as 3 years--they will find 1k in sensors or other crap wrong everytime you take it in for an oil change.I rent Audis on business trips--most are less then 3 years old and many--even though it is under warranty or an agreement with the rental car company--I see many with multiple BS repairs--sensors--electric seat repairs i see a lot--and even though most are free--they have what it would have cost and it is awfully expensive.I own my Stinger and now have over 30k in my car bank account for my next car--my insurance is on autopay for the next 5 years--10 year warranty--and oil changes are 70 dollars.I will admit when i went to the track--a 2018 model of one of these was running mid to high 11 second quarter miles on street tires and ran one of the top fastest times in that division.I was at 12.7 just for comparison--but I was still betaing NA muscle cars and other cars cause the AWD is great at a track.That V8 also DRINKS premium gas.I also need premium but with the money i saved and 22 MPG in comfort on the stinger--it is no big deal to me.

I have a 2018 AMG e63s and replaced the tires with Michelin pilot sports and they run about $400 a tire so $1600 for all four … car has not had any major issues and runs great . Oil change was $300

I'm more old school and like more mechanical components vs all the sensors and electronic motors. The 4MATIC system is great but when they get into auto park brake motors (that do fail over time and leave you stranded) and or auto proximity braking that can take away from your driving experience. Especially when there's road construction and it senses a barrier rather than another vehicle and it starts burning up your brakes trying to stop you.

I discovered that while configuring the GT-4 door you can't get the panoramic roof with the 4d system. Maybe that is the issue with the wagon, you might have selected the panoramic roof. I think it has to do with the lack of space to mount additional speakers in the roof when you choose the panoramic roof in certain models.

Maybe it's just me, but as amazing as this car is and how fast it is, it is way too big. I wanted to eventually upgrade from my C63S to an E63S and went to test drive one and was quite disappointed. It sounds quieter and is no where near as sharp as the C63S. It also feels really wide when sitting inside and its weight is more noticeable than the C63S as well. It didn't feel fun chucking this into a corner at all. The interior is super nice though and in comfort mode it is much more livable as a daily driver, but I don't think these positives make up for the huge negatives when it comes to driving dynamics.

Everything is a money pit if you don't do scheduled pre-maintenance! Have had my 16 year old AMG since 2014, never ever have I had any issues due to maintenance!
