Replace the words 'yes' and 'no' with gibberish words and instead of saying "Charlie, Charlie, are you here?" ask a non-sequitur like "Does popcorn drive well in Mars?" and guess what? The pencil will still move. Why? Basic physics. The pencil is balancing in such a way that the slightest change in pressure in the room, insignificant breeze or knock will make the pencil move. Just balance a pencil on another pencil and leave it and, at some point soon after, it will move on its own accord. Idiots freak themselves out from this type of shit all the time. shinjiro Hitsuguya I don't want to get into a religious debate. I'm not religious, but I've studied the Greek (original language) of the New Testament for about 13 years. I can tell you that there's nothing in the Bible that supports the false doctrine of hell. According to the Greek, it's either eternal life or destruction. "Hell" comes from bad Catholic dogma. God is about swift destruction, not torture. As for the rest of what you said, I have to give the cheesy line that we as humans can't see the big picture like God can. There's multiple theories as to why God flooded the earth in Noah's day (such as angels mating with humans and creating hybrid children), but we do see many example of when he's merciful. Critics always focus on the negative stuff while ignoring the many times he spared people whom we might judge worth of death. The very idea that he can forgive and love anyone who repents, no matter what kinds of crazy things they may have done, is testament to that. As for your innocent children: Innocent children grow up to be grown men bent on revenge. Maybe God knew that if Moses didn't kill those kids, they'd one day grow into a nation that would oppose his people. It's a truth that any leader has to make hard and unpopular decisions, and these decisions are based on factors that the general people normally don't understand. Think about how many innocents have died because of decisions your government made. Yet I assume you still trust them enough to keep supporting their system.
