It's interesting that you point out how movies like The Transporter played a role in Jason Statham landing a role in Fast & Furious, but I personally think there's another factor worth considering. While it's true that films like The Mechanic and The Transporter helped shape his career, I believe Tyrese Gibson played a significant role in getting Jason Statham into the Fast & Furious franchise. Specifically, I'm thinking of their work together in Death Race (2008). In that film, Tyrese played Machine Gun Joe, and Jason Statham portrayed Jensen Ames. Their chemistry in that movie could have helped Tyrese advocate for Statham's inclusion in Fast & Furious. I’m not saying that Jason's roles in action films didn't influence the casting, but it feels like Tyrese’s involvement might have been a key factor. If you haven't already, I highly recommend watching Death Race-it’s an underrated action film with great performances from both actors. It's just a theory, but I like to think that Tyrese had a bigger hand in bringing Jason on board than people may realize.

Jason Statham is the best action star we have now. Other than working with Sly Stallone on the Expendables series, he starred in 2 movies written by Stallone himself and based on novels. One is the upcoming 'A Working Man' (2025). The other is 2013's HOMEFRONT in which Statham leads a pretty good ensemble cast.

@@StardustandMadnesssilly can be good sometimes. The Crank movies are two of the most ridiculous movies I’ve ever seen and they’re a great time. Good news though; we’ll have a new Statham movie in March, and it looks like a movie perfectly suited for him. David Ayer and Sylvester Stallone wrote the script and Ayer will be directing. It’s called “A Working Man” and it’s based on a novel called “Levon’s Trade”. I’m pretty excited for it, cast looks great too.

Great movie, I think it's a good thing, it being a European production. Looks different, feels different than a US-production, which I do enjoy, but not all the time. I enjoy the more "realistic" chases with less CGI than in the F&F series (especiallythe last few parts). Feels actually for me more thrilling - like in the amazing movie "Ronin". After Snatch and Lock, Stock....this really put Statham to superstardom. Even though mostly cast in similar roles, I enjoy what he's doing (like Status Quo and AC/DC ... always pretty similar, but that's what fans enjoy...and me as well). I also like that fact that Matt Schulze (also in The Fast and the Furious) is actually a good fighter here and a challenge, not just a big-mouth (he is, but not just that). The sequels are good fun as well, I always enjoyed the relationship between Frank Martin and Tarconi, which is further explored in the sequels.

You guys are surprise me every once in a while. One the fact that you guys pull out a movie that is very dear to my heart because it is just good old-fashioned, action, fun, and silliness and to the fact that as for as many years as you guys been on and as many videos, you guys have not done the transporter yet

A great series of Action Flicks, and really cemented Statham as a Bankable Action Star. Plus, Dude is friggin' hilarious. 3:36 Squirrel! 16:25 16:34 30:23 45:32 Andrew making some compelling and well thought-out points right here. And Qi Shu (or Shu Qi) is still a Honey. 😻 21:05 Well Andrew my friend, a quick Google search will show you precisely how great "everything" is, and you are not wrong.😉

The legendary Hong Kong actor and director Corey Yuen was co-director on this film. He did the action choreography. He also did the the martial arts fight choreography for Transporter 2.

I think the final fight scene had been burned into my brain growing up with just how cool Jason Statham is purely because of how he can fight and move ! He is a legend and I love all his transporter films but they do get a bit generic at times seeing how many there are lol 😂, but These are great staples that showcase his talent to the max and I do remember thinking that when I was younger , and that stayed with me . ❤

Feels like you guys are getting a cultural shock because of the music… Let’s not forget that Luc Besson is behind movies like the 5th element, Leon The Professional, Lucy… he dealt with actors like Bruce Willis, Scarlett Johanson, He launched Nathalie Portman’s career, back when Statham got to start with him he was already far from being a newbie.

All Transporter movies should have the Year Make and Model of the Car in the credits since they contribute so much to the movie and are so iconic.

this movie is pretty much the one that put him on the map, although he was in a few flicks before this, including "Snatch", "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", "The One" (with Jet Li), and ... "Ghosts of Mars".

There was an end credits bit. Frank, the girl & the cop in a boat doing some fishing. The 3 films are separate films, not a continual storyline.
