I love how much emotion Wednesday expresses without words, like with Enid confronting her, you can read the growing sadness. Even the way she holds her shoulder when Enid walks past. Jenna Ortega does that throughout the show, but this scene highlights it for me.

She’s seems pretty genre-savvy, having been in the industry for many years and doing horror movies. Emma was… not on right track 😂

I'm always surprised that Wednesday does not push back harder when the Sheriff says he doesn't believe in monsters given just how many other universes the Addams Family has interacted with in their long history: I'm looking at you Scooby Doo. And again the Addams Family teamed up with the Scooby Doo team to find Wednesday so they do have the experience of sleuthing.

@@elannelson4058 To your point what we define as "monsters" in that show are seen as natural "Outcasts" in that world. The first ten years of the Scooby franchise (which is when I grew up watching the show) were marked with humans as ghosts. After that period some monsters were monsters. But even in the Addams Family cameo in 1972 there are things that non-Addams might consider monsters. The show also makes a point to broadly define monsters to include human behavior. Given that many different entities exist in that world (Outcasts) it is surprising to hear that the Sheriff might not factor in that something not known to people at that time (say a new type of Outcast) might be killing people.

I honestly think of Wednesday as almost a fusion of Spock and Benedict Cumberbatch version of Sherlock Holmes. She’s kind of a high functioning sociopath, she isn’t comfortable connecting to people and is bad at reading social cues, but she deep down wants to.
