This show made a minor retcon on ghoul physiology. Ghouls don't have healing powers like deadpool, but they heal gradually when exposed to high levels of radiation. All Ghouls have the radiation perk. In episode 2, Cooper got shot, but completely healed without using stimpaks or exposing himself to radiation to heal. I'm not complaining though. What happened to Thaddeus was the same thing that happened to Hancock, a character in Fallout 4, who was a junkie. One day he took an experimental drug (possibly radioactive) and turned into a ghoul. I'm excited for your episode 8 reactions.

@@boredasian9445heya! Not the OP, but happy to toss my two cents in. Fallout 4 is the most modern main series installment, and likely easiest to get into gameplay wise. People will say it’s not got the greatest writing compared to the others, but it’s still fun and some prefer it! If you’re looking for games that lean more into being RPGs and character roleplay, 3 and New Vegas will be your cup of tea even if they’re a bit older. They all take place in their own locations and have their own vibes as well, with 4 being the area around Boston Massachusetts, 3 being around Washington DC, and New Vegas being set closest to the show’s setting and the likely locale of season 2, Las Vegas. If you wanna dive right into old-school isometric turn-based stuff, 1 and 2 are cult classics for a reason, though toughest to get into these days of course

@@boredasian9445 76 isn’t forbidden by any means, I just hadn’t listed it as it’s a multiplayer entry to the series rather than one of the mainline single player rpgs. It’s had a major identity crisis over the years and been rebuilt and altered since, and had an absolutely abysmal launch in terms of glitches and instability. I’ve heard a couple times as of late that it’s actually playable now, but after redownloading it the other day, I still can’t in good conscience recommend it to someone looking to get a foothold in the series. Play one of the main single player games, then give 76 a look once you have your grip on the world if you’re interested in a more sandboxy mmo experience.

The games are so great and this show nails the tone. I remember my favorite moment playing Fallout 3 (spoilers) .... .... I finally rescued my Dad and it becomes an escort quest across the Wasteland. At some point the direct path took us through this crumbling town filled with Super Mutants. I pulled us to the side planning to employ stealth and sneak past. Dad however, had his own ideas and literally Leroy Jenkins-runs straight in like "Have at you varlots!" "What?? Dad no don't do that nooooo!" The dad is a critical NPC and therefore un-killable, so I stood in the street watching as this entire offstage Scooby Doo battle of mayhem happens progressively - explosions and flames and battle debris and the sounds of Mutant screams and destruction (Dad of course was carrying _all of_ my spare weapons) occurred progressively in sequence down the block through buildings as he cut his path of destruction. Finally I sighed, took a breath, and hefted my mini-nuke launcher to provide support from a distance, firing while still embarrassed that Dad wouldn't listen to me and took over the encounter. "You'd better not be wasting _all_ our small-arms ammo!... ." It was _hilarious._

This season with the characters should go on past a second season. In my opinion, I feel fallout with everything they’ve built up to now with these characters should wrap up in a season two and that’s it beyond that new characters new revelations or whatever if they continue past the second season but I think as far as a arc story wise, I think a season two should resolve everything that has not been resolved. This is for MJ specifically, I understand how fallout works and it’s an open campaign, there is no true finality to it but as far as specific characters, I think two should wrap everybody’s stories up and that’s it and then just onto the next thing

When Betty said "Words have meaning", she was referring to her conversation with Norm before he went to Vault 32. He is the last remaining child of Hank, the previous Overseer and one of the most respected people in Vault 33. His word holds a lot of sway in the Vault, more people will believe in what _he_ says than what others would say. He, in a public setting, declared that he wished death upon the Raiders for what they did to both their Vault and (what they believed) to Vault 32. Even someone like Stephanie Harper, a Vault-Tec executive from Vault 31 who is a part of the Vaults' experiment, agreed with him; even if she wouldn't say so publicly. Someone else clearly agreed as well, and poisoned the food the Raiders would receive, making him indirectly responsible for their deaths.

It's kinda ironic that they've made the two most anti-capitalist shows. The Boys and now Fallout.

I appreciate you fellas appreciating these LA/Socal references since I live in orange county and found myself being like "ayyy I've been there" in this series

For people who’ve seen the finale, the fact that Lucy says her dad’s heart would be broken if he knew she destroyed a community to save him guys wayyyyy different.

The actress playing the Flame Mother (Moldaver) is also in the "Ms. Marvel" series.

I am really enjoying Gregg's reaction to this. Great seeing how people feel about this, who have not seen the show. It is these audiences that really tell us how good the show is.

This episode was the first time I was like ‘oh right, this is a video game’. Leaving vault 4 and (for)getting the 2 week supplies felt like a checkpoint or something
I can’t hear the Vault 4 Overseer and not hear Archer’s Cyril, who’s played by the same actor, Chris Parnell.
@starkman788 ай бұрын
I’d say the Overseer character was more similar to Jerry from Rick and Morty. Also voiced by Chris Parnell.

Love the Erik Estrada cameo: If you're curious as to why, KZbin CHiPs to appreciate this deep cut = Erik'll always be associated w/all things California.

In the episode they say the tests they were running were on species with high rad immunity. They were trying to make the humans rad resistant.

8:20 first of all I also would’ve taken one last gulp of popcorn because it would’ve been the last one in his mindset and mine. Also, just a quick reminder for MJ and just for you, Greg to know not all the vaults were programmed to open hundreds of years later some of the vaults were programmed to open earlier than others so not all the vaults had the same philosophy as Lucy’s vault of 33.

I didn't recognize Eric Estrada until someone pointed it out to me, and then that same person pointed out that the guy most famous for playing a California Highway Patrolman was wearing New California Republic armor. Absolutely glorious 😂

I can't be the only one who thought the ending of this episode seemed like it was going to be similar to the Hidden Dog Ending in Silent Hill 2
