It was a nickname my friends gave me when I was in highschool because I dressed like a hippie and was a ‘wild child’, when I came back into my faith they thought ‘the religious hippie’ was now a more appropriate nickname and it stuck!

I was skeptical of Manny at first when I heard he had same sex attraction, but as I continued listening and realized he was battling to the best of his ability to walk in the path of our Lord by carrying his own cross. I ended loving the episode with Manny. God bless you, Amber & Manny.

Manny presents a realistic way of navigating this issue, good interview. 40:00 Most young women don't understand how real physiological births and motherhood (full on breastfeeding, initial cosleeping, etc) work. Birth is not inherently gross. It is beautiful and holy. I've never posted my births but I commend women who posted their freebirths or peaceful home births videos, because I was an only child who's never seen real birth and that was the only way I could gain the confidence to freebirth my babies myself. It is not an over share, given the severe lack of knowledge and experience in our society. Also, if you don't want to see the nitty gritty of births, you don't have to click on it. I am sure you know that. But I want to see the nitty gritty of other women's births, it gave me peace of mind when I was scared in my first pregnancy. Your comment was quite uncharitable and unthinking.

While a review of Heretic would be good, it would really require not only a deep understanding of Catholicism but also a deep understanding of what Mormons teach and why they teach it, even if they’re wrong. I’m not sure that Amber has had a focus on Mormon issues enough to really cover that movie. Maybe I’m wrong.
