The Ren Baron

The Ren Baron

Күн бұрын

It's been almost 5 years since I started flying our Cirrus SR22T G6 and along the way I've met some amazing people. Today I'm flying with two of my favorites, Cirrus Aircraft alums Al Waterloo and Sarah Talucci. Along the way I learn a couple of new tips and share a great conversation about flying. Come along for the ride!

Nice job, I am 25 year major airline pilot and you run a great flight deck. Love the way you continue to learn and set your high standards for yourself. Very professional.

I Loved You introducing the idea of more airplane and pilot. I don't think I will ever have that problem unfortunately, but I think there's a lot of folks out there that are able to write checks that their pilot behind can't cash. Thanks for doing what you.

5 years! Wow, and to think I've been hanging around here much of that time too! P.s. I'll be down in your next of the woods this weekend, but not sure I will have much free time. We will see.

Love your stuff! I love your CFI friends. (noticed you flying 125 on the downwind and making the base turn at 117 😇). By the way, thank you for influencing me to buy the Real SIM Cirrus Cockpit. It's quite something!

@@TheRenBaron Thanks Ren.. wasn’t speed shaming you. I just got a 22T couple of months ago and my CSIP has been chewing my ears about speed management. Palo Alto’s as complex as KSMO, and I’m all over the place with my speed and power settings. By the way, I got my 22 primarily to visit my son who live in Marina Del Rey, so I’ll be doing a lot of KSMO landings, hopefully soon.

@@dsinha99 Your CSIP is absolutely correct about controlling your speed. That SR22T wants to run fast and you gotta keep her on a short leash if you want to make smooth, stable approaches. Those are precisely the things you should be practicing on your RSG Cirrus cockpit!

PS-I've flown into Palo Alto (more Cirrus planes per square foot than any place on earth...that's not the Cirrus Factory) and you don't have alot of runway so you need to be precise. Thanks for posting. Cheers-Ren

Since you mentioned mistakes being pointed out in your videos ... If I remember correctly, circling the Statue of Liberty is supposed to be done counterclockwise 🤔😜 or was the SFRA not in place when you did the sightseeing flight?
