Nice tie, TROTW. - Growing up in Forest Hills, NY, every Sunday morning, we would have toasted bagels, served with cream cheese and lox (smoked salmon). You're lucky that you live in Florida, one of the few places besides NY where you can hope to get a decent bagel. When we moved out to Long Island, we got bagels at a place that baked them right on the premises, where you could watch them come tumbling out of the ovens into the bins, and get a bag of them that was so hot, you could barely hold it. Most people don't know that the real bagels are boiled, then baked, which gives them their unique chewiness. Keep up the thoughtful reviews!
