Indonesian parliament is much quiter; because most of representatives are absent, and some of them sleep at the meeting. For those who complain how loud this parliament is, trust me, that's what parliament should be. It's better to pay people who shout and sometimes insult each other but they are searching for the best for the people. That's how democracy works.

An old comment but couldn't agree more. I would much rather have a noisy parliament than a quiet one where MPs either don't care or act overly formal like rigid uptight aristocrats. It's good that it sounds like some lousy pub, because that's exactly how arguments take place among the common folk. It's moderated with a proper level of formality too, so I think UK parliament is a good mix between chaos and order. I especially like the PMQs because the head of the government sits here among the MPs and are forced to take questions directly to their face.

May is a strong politician and very good at the work. There is nothing about her career that indicates any ounce of laziness and she always commits herself to her workload very professionally. The issue is she is not very personable, she wasn't cut out to be PM and she didn't seek the position out, it came to her because Cameron couldn't face the shame of getting the public opinion so wrong, believing remain would drastically win out over leave. May didn't have a good record as PM but that is not down to her failing, but that the House was deadlocked during the time she was PM. The opposition were not going to pass anything Brexit related so she was doomed from the get go and she championed the Brexit vote despite like many of the nation, having believed in and voted remain. That takes strength to carry out what you believe is wrong and against what you wanted. That is a good politician.
@carlylerogers35296 ай бұрын
@@garethlawton5278 May was a weak political leader and an opportunist. She was not a believer in the Leave campaign and was doomed from the start. If she had any sense of self-awareness she would have realised that given that the sole issue after Brexit passed was to implement it, that she neither had the credibility nor the belief to see it through. She was the wrong person at the wrong time to become PM. However, few politicians and even fewer people have the necessary sense of self-awareness to know when not to take up a position. She gets no credit from me for anything. Of course, it is all past tense and she didn't need my approval but the fact remains that she failed and many objective observers would agree with this assessment.

Boris Johnson is now our PM a little bit of hope on the horizon! For now my patriotism is restored and I hope Boris does a great job as I have always been very fond of the man's politics and personality. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 May Britain finally become great again!

If you regard yourself as a patriot then why is it restored? A patriot never loses patriotism. If they do they fuck off elsewhere.....well a true patriot would.
