Real cricket fans know they aren't the real winners and don't deserve that trophy . They should of been awarded 5 runs instead of 6 for when the ball ricochet of stokes bat as the rules state that you judge the runs that were ran when the ball hits the bat, so if he was already across the crease when the ball deflected then it would be 2 plus the 4 over throws which will be 6 but the second run wasn't completed at the time the ball deflected of the bat. So it should of been 1 plus 4 which equals 5 and hence a super over would never have happened in the first place. Shocking from the umpires and really saddening for the kiwis, they were the rightful winners and got robbed. Home advantage distracted the incompetent umpires from doing their job efficiently.

Simon Taufle said it was a wrong decision for giving 6 runs on that overthrow. 5 runs should have been given instead of 6 with adil rashid on strike. When the ball hit ben stokes he was completing the run and the ball went to the boundary. So only 5 runs should have been given. It was a blunder . Nz is the champion team for me
