It looks like a three-bay 'cart shed' to me. I tried to get planning to convert one once without any luck. A tip about planning, whilst it is still a farm building you can insert openings. When you ask for planning they will not let you make new openings, just a thought. Go well.

You should partner up with an archaeologist KZbinr who would be able to decode the bricks and designs. That would be really interesting. 🤔

Hi, I think the steps to nowhere were to enable “Ladies” in the Victorian era to mount or dismount a horse without having to show a leg, something that was frown upon during that period.

Possibly a mounting block but there is a doorway bricked up there so may have been for access.
