Good review. Walking that line between honest point of view and staying in the game. Appreciate it. I like the fact that its ANCAP has expired, and none of those irritating chimes and warnings are there. A good ute option.

My nextdoor neighbor has a new Volvo, and it beeps and dings non stop. Drives me crazy being a passenger let alone the driver. When I hear a noise or a red flashing emblem the first thing is I think is overheating or oil. Now it's there is a car on your right hand side or the car in front of you is breaking. Ouch

I tried quite a few utes on the market before settling for the Pro4x. Cannot speak highly enough of it on and off roads. I also tow a lot and it delivers every time. The 7 speed transmission works so well.

Had the SL Warrior for 10 months now, enjoying the car. Not having carpet is so much easier when camping etc as in clean up. My only negative report so far is there is no front recovery points on eva bar SL or Pro 4x. Premcar makes you buy the winch cradle that has the 2 points, and your Nissan dealership will install it. That's not including the winch. Just the Cradle. Every dealer i looked at was throwing in the tonneau cover for free. I also got the factory flexi roof antenna to cler my carport roller door. Service is expensive, but so are Toyotas evert 6 moths. So almost same price

I’ve had my SL warrior for about a year now and it seems pretty good so far. Three must have mods are a throttle controller, a leather steering wheel cover and an extended centre arm rest, makes it much nicer to drive imo. The old H4 halogens suck but I have replaced them some brighter Phillips ones which are better. The vinyl floor is great for keeping things simple to clean with mud and dirt etc.

If I were Nissan, I would indeed do the same with the smallest bullbar on the most expensive set of lights. Nice reviews on utes, started with the blade and picking up some alternatives along the way. I get what mean with rear sportbar-rack getting in the way, but this one looks ok, it doesnt cover the full side. I dolike the aesthetics of such a clumsy thing.

As of August 2024 you can buy a brand new 2023 SL Warrior automatic drive away for $53,500. Pretty good value, considering an aftermarket bullbar is at least $2k, suspension lift $2k, tyre and wheel package $2k, tow bar would be $700, bash plate $300 and LED light bar $500. And the Nissan bullbar is winch compatible for future installation.
@therightcar3 ай бұрын
Yep - it’s a good deal for sure. And all warranty-covered by Nissan for the full five years rather than shorter warranty for aftermarket additions.

I’m waiting to see what Nissan comes up with and hopefully it’s different from the new Mitsubishi triton and has more power I was disappointed with the new Triton it’s still lagging behind the Ranger and Amarok.

Good point about the lights. Is it possible to fit those narva led upgrade bulbs to the SL or is that dodgy.

Nice review and really nice vehicles. This would be my 2nd choice to a Hilux Rogue though, being mindful that it wouldn’t be as comfortable on road as these two Nissans

I’ve got this exact grey Pro-4X Warrior with HSP Rolla cover. The Ute is an absolute weapon but the HSP roller cover is total garbage, gets full of dust and dirt and jams on a weekly basis. Is also a pain in the ass to open and clean. Get a UteMaster hard lid instead.
@rodneysantos67755 ай бұрын
Agree mate, but all the roller shutters are grap. Got a ranger and mine leaks and dust always gets in.

Thanks for that feedback mate. Sorry to hear it.

The utemaster hardlids are also just expensive pieces of crap. I got one and the quality is rubbish, the finish is crap for the high price you pay. They leak as well.
@dwaynethart65274 ай бұрын
Don’t bother, the dust gets into the tailgate too and jams the opening mechanism. Went through 3 tailgate locks at Nissan before I threw it all away and went for a tray
