The 1500s aren't all that big. You can't get them with dual rear wheels and the longest configuration is the crew cab with a 6.5 foot short box.

@@therightcar…in Europe you drive those with LPG for 1€ per liter and in cruising speed, you can do 13 liter per 100km. So, total cost around 13€ on 100km. That’s comparable to the running cost of an EV🤷🏻‍♂️

@@fragu123 We pay less than 1 Euro per liter for diesel fuel. I average a little over 16 mpusg/14L per 100 km in my F450. So my cost for 100km worth of fuel at the current $3.85 per gallon of diesel is (14L = 3.7 gallons), (1 Euro = $1.08 USD), $3.85 per gallon * 3.7 gallons = $14.25 usd or 13.20 Euro. I expect our fuel prices to drop back to normal levels once we get rid of the current administration in the White House.

Slight correction on the TRX being the most powerful pickup. Ford has now released the F-150 Raptor R, has more HP and a higher HP per Tonne ratio than the TRX.

For the haters in the comments, you do realize that a Land Cruiser 79 series {ugly looking thing that looks like its from the 70's} actually has a higher roof then a Ram, plus the dual cab cruiser is a longer vehicle and then there is the wide alloy tray! So are they really that big compared to whats already out there?.... also get used to it these things are out selling Nissan Patrols : )

All completely & utterly useless in Australia. Most of our roads are not designed for these big American yank tanks. If they bothered to make them from the factory in RHD then it would be different. These are fully reworked for the Australian market. Also as a side note. These are heavy vehicles & in Victoria if your combined vehicle plus what ever your towing is over 4.5t then you technically need a heavy vehicle license. This is something that is never mentioned.

That’s not true. As with the rest of Australia, you can drive a rigid vehicle up to 4499kg on a car licence. Doesn’t matter what the towed load is. There are limits on towing capacity, obviously. But these have a place.

I think you're misreading the law. The vehicle towing can be a maximum 4.5 tonnes on a standard licence. That number DOES NOT include the towed load.

I imagine the hurricane engine will be like the eco boost in that you can have eco or boost but if your producing the same or more power as a V8 guess what you will be using V8 amounts of fuel. Power comes at a price if you think different your delusional

These vehicles are soccer mum cars in the states, yet in Australia they are considered to be big unicorns, in other words they are considered family cars, not full blown commercial vehicles. They are way over priced and regulations should change so the average family has the option of buying without having a massive debt. Let’s see what the excuse is on the price when the engine changes, by rights it should drop in price.

One of best cars I ever owned was 95 EF Falcon and that 4.0 I6 was magical and Im sure this Hurricane will be a thing of beauty but yeah when its sucking down the same fuel as a 5.7 hemi and lacking that subtle growl... whats the point

These things are garbage. They have a common lubrication issue that trashes the engine over time unless you are constantly cruising at highway speeds, say like you might in America. Interior space is also surprisingly crap. Definitely wide enough, but leg room in the back isn't as good as some of the regular dual-cabs we get here in Australia. Also, the fact that you can't park these things in the majority of our (admittedly tiny) parking spaces, makes this a vehicle that you can just about get away with in rural areas, like where I live, but why would you really want to anyway? Too many compromises, way too expensive, chews too much fuel, poor quality. Big thumbs down. Still, I like your reviews in general! So thumbs back up there 👍

The Right Car? : americans have some nerves charging above 100 k for a mieasly cheaply made truck....these used to be 50 grand on average....what's changed ? Nothing besides the interior....everything else is almost of literally the same design and definitely the same low budget build quality. That 5.7 litre V8 hemi is literally underpowered, fuel thirsty and old like 20-25 years. You only have a feeling that it has "so much grunt" because you have been driving economical turbo 3 cylinders for the past few years on your channel.

It’s not the USA seeking prices, this vehicle is imported as LHD, and fully rebuilt in Melbourne by Walkinshaw, they do all rebuilds, to include Silverado and the new Tundra. So the stock is purchased from factory in the states, imported with all the costs, then rebuilt by union based employees, then sold on, its all the costs on top driving up the price, not to mention dealers profits. Now think about it, what dealer is paying full retail for a car, no these things have so many middle men plus the rebuild, the BS being spun by reviewers suggesting the cost is some how in the fact its a USA V8 is nothing short of rubbish. Do yourself a favour look up Rams for sale in the USA, not only are there around 15 variants, the cost will blow you away compared to Australia.

I honestly think the RamBox's are a waste, you lose so much tray space for some pretty average sized boxes. The idea is cool but damn! you lose so much tray space. I ordered a BigHorn with the 6'4" tray. I can sell my small trailer as that massive tray makes it useless

@@gregatoreganair.com.autrad2226I just use the adjustable tie down points, loop the bag handles over those and they dont move. Or just on the flat floor in the rear in the cab. I can see the benefit of the ram boxes but I just feel like you lose to much tray width to make them truly worthwhile.

This is the first time I ever saw someone refer to a short box as massive. I do agree with the sentiment on the Rambox though. The "tray" on my Super Duty in 8'2" and it becomes a waterproof compartment when I close my tri-fold tonneau cover. Even with this much space I still have an enclosed trailer for big stuff.
