This was a fantastic video - new subscriber now I want to combine two recipes into one e.g browned onions with lamb korma and then delete steps I don’t want How do I merge two recipes together please 🙏
@thedummycook5 ай бұрын
Awwww... thank you so much!! You can only duplicate one at a time, so I would duplicate the longer recipe (Lamb Korma in this case) and just copy the steps from the shorter recipe, and then add them where you would like this to happen (before starting the recipe in this case?). You obviously will need to substitute some parts, for example here, if you want the onions browned from the beginning, then you would need to delete the 1st step of the Lamb recipe where they want you to "add the onions" (since they would be already in the bowl). I hope this helps! Great topic for another video, thank you!!!

But how do I change the order of the steps? There are three little dots at the top right of each step, and clicking on that gives me the option to change the order of that step. So I click on that, and all the step numbers are replaced by three bars, but what then??? Trying to drag and drop the step I want to move doesn't work, trying to enter a different step number doesn't work either! I am going mental with this, please help!

I'm sorry! I didn't see your question until today! Please drag the ingredient all the way to the right (hovering under the preparation steps area) and then coming back to the list to where you want that ingredient to be, it should work. Pretty much you'll be doing a "big half-circle drag" instead of dragging up and down. If this doesn't work, please email me (info on description) so I can help you with a quick screen recording. Thank you! Diana

I followed your instructions to translate a recipe using my iPad and my Cookidoo account. When I would add the translated recipe to my created recipes it would show in English, but when I would select to cook it today and send it to the thermomix, the recipe would only show up in the original language. How do I get to see the translated recipe to show on the thermomix screen? Thanks

Yes, you are right! I don't know if this is a temporary bug but I will report it and see if they can fix it. I just did some tests and this is what happened: Round 1 - I duplicated an Italian recipe and translated it to English with Google Translate, everything looked fine, I saved it. Got out, clicked back in and... it was in Italian again! ?? Round 2 - This time I duplicated it, turned it to English again but this time I "stepped into" each line of the steps, and then I clicked the little checkmark on the bottom right. I did this for each line. It worked: I got out, got in again and the steps were in English, the ingredients in Italian. Round 3 - I did the same for the ingredients: click edit, step into each line and click the checkmark each time (to confirm I want to save the English version). It worked, I got out, got in: all in English... BUT... I went to the Thermomix and even though everything was in English at first sight... as soon as I clicked on the ingredients/scale page, they were in Italian again! Round 4 - I went back to edit the steps, I deleted the underlined ingredient word ("parmesan" for example) and then I clicked on the "ingredient" icon and chose the "parmesan" from the drop-down menu, that way the step would be linked to the edited work (yes, even if both are in English, seems like the computer still "remembers" the Italian one). It worked, I did this JUST with the first line of the steps (to test it), then I went to the Thermomix, went to the ingredients/scale page, and... (drum roll) the first step was in English (yayyyy) and the second step in Italian as I expected. I know it's more work but it's a way around while this gets fixed. I hope this helps in the meantime, like I said, I will report this bug and I hope it will be fixed soon. Thank you very much for bringing this up! :))

Spelling it "Cook-I-Doo" or "CookIdoo" would've been smarter; Vorwerk dropped the ball on that one
