I miss when you could put stickers on pokeballs that would allow you to customize the animation of your pokemon being sent into battle. I had a lot of fun making unique entries for each of my main team, and it’s a lot easier for it to be generally applied to all Pokémon than something like accessories.

I think they should add a proper tournament hall or something, kind of like the masters 8, so maybe 7 npc regional trainers plus the player battle through brackets into semi finals and a final at the end. Could have like 20 npcs and the tournament would pick 7 random ones for each tournament. could be a cool addition and could be a fairly replayable feature.

It would be cool if we got a spin-off where we had to catch our starter. Have 10 or so different Pokémon with 2 evolutions/an evolution line of 3 and let the player lose in a specific tutorial-like area. It would make getting your starter a more unique experience for each player and make that Pokémon so much more special. Getting a Pokémon as a gift or freebie is cool but it’s not as rewarding to work for it and finally catch it yourself

I wish they had it so your dorm room at the academy in Scarlet/Violet was like your room in Bully, where as you went through the story it would change and we'd have items and souvenirs that we could have picked up or at least have the pictures & badges that we get through the story be stored in the room or on the walls. Plus I would love it if we could dress our trainers as the previous player characters, both with their clothes and their haircuts. Like if you wanted you could dress your character as Red or as Rosa complete with her hair. Maybe even through in the ability to dress as Ash, that could be something special for Gen 10 though they would have to be unisex clothes so every player could use them if they wanted.

For Scarlet/Violet, the gyms should scale with how many you beat. As in, all gyms start at a minimum level and have early versions of their Pokémon, and level to the next gym level when you beat a gym that's not them. Also, the difficulties should be Easy (Easier then normal for every game up to Sw/Sh, which along with S/V, the base game should be the actual Easy), Normal (Regular), Hard (Obviously), and Legendary (MUCH harder, with the Champion automatically much harder than Cynthia normally, and the higher level gyms should be as hard, if not harder, than Cynthia).

A popular romhack called Pokemon Crystal Clear did this much better than Scarlet/Violet did. It allowed you to play all of pokemon crystal in whatever order you wanted, and each gym had a different team depending on how many badges you had, so there were 16 variations of each gym (you could also rebattle any version of any gym you wanted for fun or to grind). Would love to see Game Freak take that approach if they're gonna let us take on the gyms in any order, especially since they'd only have to do it for 8 badges rather than 16 like Crystal Clear did.

When I played SV for first time I did think they scaled since.. went after Iono first and was actually on her level naturally and was like "oh cool they knew she was far from the start so she isn't weak level 12s or whatever" and then.. tried Grusha second so "Ice had a chance at hopefully being bit tough" so was somewhat disappointed about the level 42... like the lead up to the games they said "you can challenge the gyms in any order" which typically implies scaling, not "lol grind for no reason"

They would never put in an official nuzlocke mode. Since they dont like nuzlockes all that much. And while there isn't multiple saves yet, the Switch has the option to set up multiple profiles. I've done plenty of alternative runs of Violet by making additional switch profiles to play the game.

One thing I've been wanting for AGES is a Ball Swapping feature so that you can re-ball your Pokemon for aesthetic purposes. There are so many pokemon I've come to love during my journey that I've wanted to put into a fancier looking or more visually consistent ball but I just can't. If I wanted to re-home my play through Skeledirge in a Premier Ball or a Friend Ball, I would be SOL. If I come across a really cool Pokemon, I have to decide if I want to catch it in a weaker ball that's more elaborate or go for a more effective ball that doesn't look as nice. That shouldn't be a question I have to ask after a certain point in the game. I also think it'd be cool to bring back a level of ball customization in general. Like being able to add stickers or re-paint ball colors. Like an ivory Luxury Ball or being able to slap a Fighting type sticker on my Hariyama's ball.

@@dlp6567Once you get into the postgame, you should have the option of re-balling your Pokemon. Even if it's prohibitively expensive. There are Pokemon that you either can't catch in certain balls or won't have the opportunity to catch in something other than what they're given to you in. Like your Starter or an Event Pokemon or a Pokemon traded from a game where a certain kind of ball isn't available like the Virtual Console games. You can customize and change nearly every other aspect of your Pokemon to some extent except what Pokeball they're in and that feels like it shouldn't be the case at this point.

Some things to remember: GameFreak sucks at optimization and always has. Nintendo forces GameFreak to keep to a 3 year release schedule(half as long as any other studio). Surprisingly, GameFreak is an indie studio. They only have 162 employees. Remember GameFreak doesn’t make anywhere near as much as The Pokémon Company. The only way they could do these things AND make a higher quality Pokémon game that isn’t broken, would be for Nintendo to let them have a 4-5 year schedule….which will never happen.

The stuff I think they should add is: 1. Add multiple difficulty levels 2. Make it so you can only use the same number of Pokémon as your opponent so it can be more challenging and fair. 3. Let you go to a previous region to explore like they did in HeartGold & SoulSilver. 4. Stop having the NPC trainers using the SAME POKÉMON EVERYTIME. (I’ve been playing through some DS games, it gets incredibly annoying when most of the trainers including evil teams use the same Pokémon, it honestly gets extremely irritating. 5. The National Dex shouldn’t be a thing. All the Pokémon should be in there from the very beginning so the battles are fresh and you are not battling a million Pidgeys, Geodudes, Magikarps, Patrats, Purrloins, Trubbishs etc. 6. Give us a rival similar to how Paul was in the Diamond & Pearl anime. 7. Get rid of trade evolutions PLEASE!!! It’s not 10 reasons but these will do. 🤔👏

I was thinking, if pokemon were real, and they implemented level scaling in real life, the gym leaders would have to have eight different teams, plus more for the post game events. That's a lot of teams! Just imagine they have a special drawer where they keep these many different teams, and it's labelled according to how many gym badges that the player has. They may even have their own champion-ranked team hiding somewhere in the back, in case shtf. Not to mention their battle tower teams, battle frontier teams, and so on and so forth. It would be a very impressive set up, that it would. Security would be very tight for the gyms, I'm sure. Can't have some ten year old running off with their best team at gym one, and speed running through the game. One would argue they're not even playing at that point. It's highway robbery. The first gym leader would be like, "Why do the speed runners always try to hack my gym?! They could just raise up their team the old fashioned way, but no! Ten year olds be out there being breadwinners by any means necessary. Gosh! I sympathize, but still. Not cool!"

Since all generations will have two versions no matter what, one should be made for the younger and less experienced gamer while the other is for the hardcore fan that has been around for years. The harder one can even have a nuzlock mode or challenge mode right off the bat, while the easier one can be for the casual gamer. Also the option to skip tutorials is a must. The franchise has been around for over two decades, we do not need to know how to catch a pokemon each and every time.

Hard mode, Not necessary... Pokémon NEVER WAS HARD and never was supposed to be hard BUT it should have strategy... Just like Miltank! A avarage kid with no experience in Pokemon will have a hard time but if a kid takes his time to understand what type resists Normal and Rock, predict where Miltank will heal to heal or use a X item... Instead of just spamming the coolest named attack he can be awarded to think his moves carefully... Sun and Moon were perfect in this regard! if you want a challenge mode is perfectly reasonable and I think is a welcome addition! but not to replace ACTUAL GAME DESIGN, GF should make a good game with challenging battles Tera Types are a AWESOME ADDITION but the leaders have an Ace that's going to Tera now Sudowoodo was nice in Grass type gym! If it had the capability to Tera just against a Water Type... Think about it... A kid will say "oh it looks like a tree ITS JUST GRASS and click a fire or flying type move, and Sudowoodo can take the hit and answer with a rock type move and proceed to resist a normal type move... A kid will look for a water type to be surprised with Tera Grass... Great Video Rogue!!! Idk if theres a single thing from this video I can disagree with! Pokemon to be more challenging, better graphics, animations, FPS, customizations to people and pokemon, and ESPECIALLY LEVEL SCALING! Like WHYYY NO SCALING!?!? There are pokemon that follow u but it needs to be improved. I think another thing I would add/go back in Pokemon is to make places and themes more memorable, as over time, like in Gen 8+, some town themes lost their charm or are repeated. Also Mesagoza is known for the school so that one is memorable. For Galar, I say the most memorable would be Monostroke and Stow n Side. Hope we do get better catchy themes that are memorable.

If they’re too concerned about level scaling, they can do this: 1st gym is something like Normal or Dragon type so that there’s a lot of coverage variety and your start pick is irrelevant. 2nd-4th gyms are accessible and have three settings based on which you choose to fight first. They’re all equidistant from the first gym and are located in a variety of locations. 5th-7th gyms are accessible now that you’ve unlocked either an HM or a ride Pokemon or a certain riding function. They also have three level options based on the order you fight them in. 8th gym will also be the same for everyone as it’s canonically the most challenging. This way, they can program in set parties and move sets with only the levels varying since the leaders will be so close to each other in difficulty. The system they used for SV was… It was just an embarrassment.

It’ll never happen, but an overhaul of the main mechanics would be nice. Legends Arcoos was a nice change of pace, but the core hasn’t changed in nearly 30 years. Even something like an ATB (Active Time Battle) would spice things up. Pokémon with a higher speed stat would have the ATB bar fill faster. Maybe moves could have cooldowns to reduce spamming and force you to think about what moves to use and when. Just something to change what I’ve been doing for decades at this point. Even some of the longest running franchises need to innovate from time to time.

For the Exp. Share, it should be programmable. Players should be allowed to turn it on and off. Additionally, you should be allowed to select on a menu which Pokémon in your party obtain experience points from the item. Here are some things I'd like to see added to the games that weren't mentioned in the video: Vs. Seeker(rematch trainers with stronger teams), voice acting, 60-minute timer for all battle formats, the GTS in the games rather than the Home phone app(that, or you can access it from either), Move Tutors, Vs. Recorder, the ability to change the Poké Ball that your Pokémon are held in, the option to skip the tutorials(especially if you're playing on a harder difficulty setting and/or are quite familiar with the games), ride Pokémon(some you can fly on, some you can ride on when crossing bodies of water, some you can ride on land, and then a group of Pokémon that fall into 2 or all 3 of those categories), and a maximum of at least 3 save files(allows players to choose each starter for each save file).

2.-) Eh, graphics aren't everything. Yeah, I would like if they improved, but is not a big priority for me. 3.-) No, please. The only time GF gave us a game with two regions they showed that they do not know what to do with the second region. Nothing happens in Kanto. The cycle of the post-game Kanto adventure is "go to a city/village/town/etc., beat the Gym Leader, move onto the next city/village/town/etc.", rinse and repeat. If they will add a second region I want a full on second story (on par with the story of the Main region) to play in there. 4.-) Limitations is the key word here. With a bigger more complex world it is harder to pull this kind of mechanics. 6.-) Again, limitations. There are over 500+ creatures, adding HD animations is close to impossible, especially with how little GF as a company really is (only 169 employees as of 2022). 7.-) Same as #6. 9.-) I really hope this is toggeable as well. Not everyone wants a challenge, ya know?. 10.-) Uh, what? What are you talking about? Following Pokemon wasn't really a big feature till Sw/Sh. Prior to that it was only in Yellow (and I am being generous here because only the Starter Pikachu does this) and in HG/SS. There are more older games that lack this feature than modern games that lack it.

Honourable mentions: - New Game Plus A new walkthrough of your game on the same save file with (or without) Pokemon that you caught in your original playthrough. Every trainer has much larger levels, fully evolved Pokemon, better stats, movesets, items etc. - Using your own Pokemon as mounts or world exploration Like, all water type Pokemon (or any other Pokemon that are good swimmers like Snorlax) will let you move on/under the water. Or fighting type Pokemon (or just having a fighting type move on any other Pokemon) will let you smash boulders. - Fast-forward button for dialogues Self-explanatory. It's a type of quality of life feature will make a lot of people happy. - Voice-Acting At least for cinematic only. Adding some gibberish for characters for in-game dialogues would be perfectly fine. - Return of good battle facilities Nowadays you either go online or forced to battle extremely weak npcs with set teams. No possibilities for challenging offline battles at all. - More save files connectivity Like being able to change the soundtrack of online battles (or battle facility battles) to the soundtrack of other games, if you have save files of those games. - Better gym leader tactics For gym leaders to exploit weather or field conditions. That's my wishlist aside from what was mentioned in the video 😊

I suspect the reason game devs shy away from difficulty modes is people get upset if they can't beat them on a higher level. So it "ruins" the experience by making them feel bad. Not to mention, it's more work to balance the games for a much smaller portion of the playerbase. So there isn't a huge incentive. Most desired feature: a nature modifier npc that could give you that option. Once you step in competitive, it's seems rare to have a walktrough with a modest graveler lmao. Aside of that, i would love the egg moves to be learned more easily, without having to make a whole breed routine that takes many hours.

I single-handedly agree with the gym scaling. It’s so frustrating, when you have to follow the same basic path. It just gets bland. And you wonder why people make different types of challenges in the games.

In Scarlet and Violet there are actually some tabs in the customization menu where you can equip glasses, socks, and shoes for shirts and pants but I'm guessing the game was released before that could be finished

they should bring back the pixel sprites for pokemon in the pc and menus :'( there was just something so charming about them and they paid homage to the older games. make the pokemon models 3d sure but at least keep the pixel sprites.

Challenge mode.. not only was it locked to beating the game, but you had to like.. trade it to a different system for it to work.. and even stupider is the opposite version gave Easy mode.. Also fun fact, they are broken and Challenge mode still uses Normal mode stats, so if you are on equal levels with a gym leader, you have the advantage since they are actually still coded to be their Normal mode levels.. which means Easy mode is actually harder since they use their Normal mode stats and you gain less money from random trainers.. I hope they bring the difficulties back for Unova remakes without the dumb "trade to another system after beating the game" thing.. The seasons thing.. it kinda got brought back with how the Wild Area had random weathers I know it not the same but the seasons could only work because the areas got reloaded when restarting the game or exiting a door.. with how we have a sleep mode and less.. full shut downs I guess? If they did have seasons like Unova with some areas freezing over.. would we get stuck under ice? Doubt people would be happy about that if you got unlucky and exited sleep mode just to be softlocked until time passed or whatever I heavy agree with the stupid ass uniform.. LET ME WEAR A SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT WITH PANTS FFS.. like legit the pants are locked to a long sleeve jacket... and some shorts are with a different long sleeve shirt.. why? Why are no combo a short sleeve shirt and the pants? Like just let me mix and match the forced uniform pieces *at least* and even stupider is THE STORES AND CUSTOMIZATION TAB HAVE SLOTS FOR TOPS AND BOTTOMS...WHEN WE CAN NOT BUY ANY EXTRA STUFF The accessories thing.. we dressed up our mons for contests and plays and whatever.. let us just use those since it would make sense (ie for contest obviously you can pile on like 7 different things but for normal maybe limit it a bit so it still makes sense and not allow Dialga to carry a tennis racket for no real reason) Settings.. yeah having choices is never bad (give us back Set mode).. but also just.. consistency for the buttons.. like why is the right trigger same as "A" in SwSh but "throw ball" in PLA and SV or.. why is "menu" down on the d-pad in PLA but "X" in the other games?! It always throws me off that I have to take a second to readjust for controls for mf Pokemon.. side note.. why did the take the ability to just.. throw balls outside battle? Also the ability to cycle through who you aiming at.. PLA you tap ZL but in SV ZL just does "closest" I doubt they would ever give us a designated "speed up" button.. they sadly still want us to play the game normally.. closest to a "speed up" is not having to grind wild mons as much with candies and auto battle.. Level scaling? The thing assumed in SV via "challenge the gyms in any order" blurb? God why tf did they drop the ball on that? I legit beat Iono first and was fine (since naturally got to her level anyways) and then went after Grusha... god did I feel cheated that I wanted to give Ice a chance since didn't have much yet for Ice types... but they dictated that Grusha is last I guess so Torch Song press A simulator occurred

many of the reasons why they won't be implimented Seasons: Folks hated it due to issues of FOMO (areas being locked for 3 months, same with certain Pokemon and events), meaning that you'd be bored if you take a month break and it passes beyond Winter Clothing: It's an easy thing, that's due to a Japanese group called CERO (which is the Japanese equivalent of the ESRB) and introducing things like Dresses/skirts kinda get their jimmies rustled due to fears of "upskirt shots." We got those in prior games due to no fears of free-roaming cameras (something we didn't get in prior games). Difficulty/Level Scaling: the issue is mostly subjective and done due to issues like not wanting to grind when you rotate pokemon. Also Gym Scaling is a coding nightmare as you have to code the team to meet the appropriate gym badge level (otherwise you get weird crap like the lvl 9 Altaria.) You'd have to do that 8 times for each gym leader. Also, you focus on S/V's gym while ignoring the side stuff like the Titans and Team Star basis. So you technically can beat the game in any order (and gain EXP if a gym leader is too high or tough). Also, didn't we end up with Sw/Sh's attempt at that which led to running into weird things like lvl 65 Poliwags?

Most games turn the character transparent when you try to look up. Also, underskirt shots arent an issue as you can clearly without even trying get them by looking at Meloetta on home

I do not hate the fact that the levels do not scale that much, a thing i do hate is that the only way to increase your level cap is to fight the gyms, i wanna fight team star before everything but i can't. Bet Nemona bragged them to do this.

Here’s an idea for Gen 10 The Pokemon Company shoukd make an app that allow us to transfer and deposit our items from Gen’s 6, 7, 8, & 9. A sort of Pokemon Bank for items I have a bunch of Master Balls in Gen 6 & 7 that I would love to transfer and use in Gen 8, 9 & 10 I have a bunch of evolution stones & items, several Legendary Pokemon items, healing items, shards, a bunch of rare candies, stat increase items, etc Imagine how useful those items would be in Gen 8, 9 & 10?! I would be able to use those on most of my Pokemon and I would be able to use all those Master Balls on the Legendaries that I haven’t caught yet

I think the graphics are not something to justify. But the fps issues... The Switch isn't as weak as people think, it has the power to run the games it has smoothly. But in order to preventing it from going too hot and the battery from lasting not even 2 hours. They have to limit it. Think i am a Nintendo apologist? Look up Overclocked Nintendo Switch. The game is stable and the console doesn't explode. But clearly if Nintendo sent the Switch at max performance it wouldn't be very good. Also can explain why the games are released with issues.

Are you actually not gonna mention having multiple save files? This was the immediate thing I thought of when I saw the title. I have around 180 hours in Pokémon shield, I've got 4 shiny Pokémon and have 100% completed the Dex for the shiny charm but I can litterally never play through the game again on my account unless I wanna get rid of the 180 hours of progress Ive made. Especially in older games, I remember being so sad as a kid when I hadn't played through Pokémon diamond (my favourite Pokémon game) for like 2 years cause I didn't wanna lose all my shinies but I eventually had to do it cause I wanted to play through the game again and didn't have anyone to trade with. The amount of fun challenge run ideas I've thought of that I can't be assed doing cause I don't wanna delete my main account is staggering, on switch you can fix this a bit by creating an entire new switch user every time you wanna play the game again but this absolutely should not be necessary this many years since Pokémon came out, games have had multiple save files since the PS1 generation how is Nintendo so far behind.

Plus voice acting, recently started scarlet and they've gone through so much effort to fully animate the characters lips to say the words but they just still use text based, do what Lego does and have it as an optional toggle, they even write accents and how some words are pronounced into the subtitles so why not go all the way and have voice acting, especially when you do an anime for each game just get those voice actors in for the games, or just directly take lines from the anime.

They did level scale Scarlet and Violet. Just... not in the way people wanted. When we think level scale, we assume 'scales with us'. As in, the world reacts to something that we do, like hitting some sort of progression milestone. But no, it scales with the land. The further away you go from the hub city, the stronger your opponents get, both wild encounters and trainers. In other words, Gamefreak zigged while people zagged. Would I have preferred proper level scaling by badge? Of course. But this is Gamefreak. When have they ever made massive changes easily? They've said themselves that they like to take 'baby steps' when introducing major changes to the game.

Always disliked that you could choose what sprite you have in the union room etc, but couldn't do that in the base game. Should have been able to play as a Hiker, Swimmer... every protagonist and any trainer sprite across all games. You could even unlock the gym leaders etc as you progress. Look like Brock or Misty in Hoenn, why not?

More sequence locking to stop speed running! Also to make rushing through the test more punishing by making the NPC catch you're just rushing through the text instead of reading it, making them get frustrated and make them have to tell you AGAIN, but the second time it's a box with a slowdown timer so you are REQUIRED to read it! A verbal test to progress and is part of the sequence lock to make players have to read the text and pick the right answer! Anything to end speedrunning! Speedrunning is retarded! Something to add, I'd say the option to have companion trainers escort you around for some dynamic double or triple battles. Pokemon loadouts, so you can make your own team. A Custom Pokemon gym style like the secret bases in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, where you can appoint jr. Trainers from NPCs or even actual gym leaders and other characters from the entire franchise. Register a team like with the Pokemon loadouts above, and have a personal gym. Higher level means your gym gets paid more, and your gym can collect more money as passive income. You can pick one of a multitude of templates, walls, etc, make your gym look all kinds of fancy with a furniture store in-game to really go customizing your personal gym, and share it online. No pride banners allowed though. Only national flags. The ability to date our rivals as a choice, like... If I wanted to go date Lorelei, I'd have to beat her in a battle first, but then I could go and get her number and do dates which could include minigames like a match 3 like Pokemon Shuffle, and a way to salvage a failed date wit ha Pokemon battle. To become Champion will make every dating option available for your gender. So if you picked to be male, your dating options are all women, and if you're a woman your dating options are all men. No gay options though as Nintendo and Gamefreak are trying to help raise the birthrates in Japan, and encouraging heterosexuality is the way to go. Pokemon customization: The ability to recolor and dress up Pokemon in our party. Much like Furfrou, but more like you can get your Pokemon to wear a leather jacket, or a hakama, or even a cloak, maybe even armor! Pokemon capable of Mega Evolving get an equipable item that holds their Mega Stone! Say you want your Charmander to be a metallic red with a gold belly, and you want it to have eyes that shine like sapphires. A Pokemon salon will help make your Pokemon beautiful to your liking with an assortment of pigment berries which you can find around the world. Pokemon Equipment! Pokemon no longer just HOLD items, but they can equip items too! Mega Stones, Focus Sash, Goggles, all equip items for Pokemon. Your Pokemon gets one Equip slot, and one Hold slot. If you equip the Red orb on Groudon, it has room to hold something as well!

Level scaling is horrible for open world rpg Level scaling is the reason you need exploits to feel strong in Skyrim If it is only gym badges it could be ok, but if is the Pokemon in general, it will take out so much of the fun, like using a weak species but overleveling it so it can be on par with stronger Pokemon

what would of been the point of it being open world if the lv scails you cant go out and defeat the hardest one first or tgr easiest one and go in the order of difficulty you want you are just forced in that case to go thru 8 gyms just getting stronger slightly. i loved sv and the times i remeber rhe most os when i accently whent to the elerric gym 3 as my 3ed and got rekted and i had to grind over and over to try and defeat them and when i did it finaly felt so satisfying and also overleveling can be extremely fun in these games and removing that would just ruin the games
