Adam THANKS for this incredible free work!! Also I think the line you usually go for towards the end is, "Just because this video is over doesn't mean our time together has to be." I heard you say that once and it landed well; ever since then you say some variation that makes me lol. Again thanks for all you do!

You really need to be a trainer for ins companies for new adjusters. I am a lifelong auto appraiser but failed after 4 months in property. I even used to work for one of the companies in the video. I think I am going to start using assessment instead of estimate I don’t and will never do property claims again but i use your videos to find new presentation methods

Can you also change the type of roof you have? Does the Insurance Company Care?
@smartmoneyculture3 ай бұрын
Yeah, Adam‘s videos are good. We’ve done hundreds and hundreds of claims it helps if you know what you’re talking about most people think that roofs are cheap and they can get it for like 10 or $15,000. The average 30 square roof, typically you want to invest about 12% on a brand new roof of the value of the home. Have a licensed bonded insured and certified contractor. Go do a welfare inspection once every year or two just like you would do for your air conditioning unit. Remember, this is an investment into your property not a cost. People look at it mostly as something they don’t want to do. Even though it protects everything you hold valuable in the home. You can get a roof for cheap but that’s what you get. It’s amazing how somebody will spend $100,000 remodeling a bedroom or a kitchen or putting a new flooring and cabinets in the bathroom but think it’s ridiculous to spend half of that on the one thing that covers their head and everything important under it. And when you add velocity banking and the infinite banking strategies to your home projects, it becomes a whole new ball game. The American dream is dead because people stop dreaming.

Thank you very inspiring videos, I'm starting my canvasing career as a plastering contractor. Can you please make a video regarding canvasing must to have with you. Seems like a general question but will help allot out. Thank you
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Hey Miguel! Great to have you here and welcome to the industry. Must have when out canvassing? Your canvassing credentials (like your "solicitor's permit" IF required) and something to write with (a clipboard or your phone). If there's anything specific to what you're selling that you need to have with you, that's a different story. But for most, it's just the basics to get appointments scheduled. Hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing this valuable info. How can I start a roofing company?
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Thats a GREAT question. First, get setup legally. Then get your insurance in order. Establish a relationship with a supplier. Get all of your paperwork and processes in order. Line up sub contractors. Start selling jobs. Get ready to learn quickly and manage your cash flow :) obviously a very in depth question that warrants a lot more info, but this should highlight the key points to get you headed in the right direction. Quick note: Not everyone is cut out to own a company. There's a LOT to it. Do your homework before leaping in.

@@TheRoofStrategist as of insurance I need worker comp, and general libility? Im from Houston Tx. so I dont need a roofers license. Also were can I get written contracts to use?
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
@@IvanHVAC Great questions. I would speak directly with a commercial agent licensed in TX to advise you on both your legal requirements and recommended levels of coverage. In terms of getting written contracts: No matter what you get, you'll need to make sure they are compliant with the laws in the state(s) you operate. Every state is handled a bit differently and the laws can change year to year. I include a sample Contingency Agreement in all of my programs and many people use that as the "template" to present to their attorney so they can add in the "fine print."

Hello Adam..getting a new roof and had a question about the building code upgrade charge. he check I received from my insurance was an amount minus my deductible and this upgrade fee. When looking at the roofer's invoice, I noticed I am being charged my deductible, which I understand, but also the upgrade fee. I understand that once the roofer submits the completion of work to the insurance company and they will mail the roofer that amount for the fee. My question is, do I get credit for it in my estimate since they will be paid by the insurance company at the end of the job? It would seem like the roofer would be getting paid that fee twice if I am being charged for it as well. Thanks!

@TheRoofStrategist3 жыл бұрын
My recommendation - get training and/or support from your company to be SURE of this before you do anything :) Not EVERY roof will need supplementing, but for a lot of carriers -- most do.

Love this advice, Joe. I've found that as a general rule of thumb this is a great move. I do recommend "reading the crowd" and knowing when to breeze over the nitty gritty for the customers who don't want/need the play-by-play after we review the "high level" details.
