I woke up to extreme pain and calf cramp on my right side, it still hurts now and it's been nearly 24 hours. The whole night I was thinking how nice it would be to just stick a needle into where it's the tightest and started googling if it was a thing and found this video. Now I just need to find myself an acupuncturist

not an acupuncturist, they do superficial needling which focuses on meridians, you need a physical therapist certified in dry needling

As comment below suggested, acupuncture and dry needling are different!

This is not acupuncture,You need to find a physical therapist who is certified in dry needling not sure where you are located but a quick google search would likely give you some ideas pretty quickly

Dry needling is amazing! I had it done on my traps for herniated discs in my neck. You feel the quick spasm and release and your muscle is so relaxed. Highly recommend!

I had it done for plantar fasciitis a few years ago. I had tried everything else and was close to surgery. This cured my issue!

had this done on my low back near my SI Joints, and on my upper glutes. they also hooked it up to electrodes. I was basically on the table twerking for 10 min.

I had this exact procedure done on my back and it was the only effective way pain left my body): i couldn't walk, and even sitting was painful

This is the most effective to get away the pain or stiffness in you muscles after needle. 100% so effective. I know coz my wife is a physical therapist and she always needles my back, delts, pecs, hamstring, quads and calves after heavy lifting at the gym.

@@mmmmmmm81622 Not? LOL, you dont know what you are saying bro. To tell you, my PT wife used this for her patients, a basketball player, a soccer player, and a football player. They also needle their players during the game if they feel muscle stiffness or pain because it will relieve it afterwards, and then they can play without any discomfort. Learn it somehow and experience it before you say it.

Damn I blew my calves at the gym 10 years ago. It's painful just walking through a large store to do my shopping. Driving keeps my calves in constant pain because of working the pedals. I need this!

@@wildfornature_ That's not a thing. Anything you can do to both calves at the same time just running would not cause severe or permanent damage. See a real doctor and stop using dramatic terms like "blew out" unless it was a literal massive rupture of the muscle or tendon.

Had dry needling done on my upper back as I had very weak but extremely tight muscles and it was such a cool feeling. Haven't needed to go back since I've been training my back but would definitely recommend this to anyone

When I got it done to my lower back they hooked up electrodes and shocked it to release the tension. It was immediate relief.

@@viralcontroversialshortsyt yes it was! I was going to a chiropractor 4x a week for a month with no real sustainable relief. After the first dry needling session my back never tightened back up like it was. I still have a minor disc bulge but doctor said with physical I should be back to normal soon. I also am doing ozone therapy. It’s a vitamin shot with O3 to my back also has changed my recovery game for the better. I’m on my second series of three shots but it beats surgery.

@@johnden-ve9cg not as much as you think it would. More like a pinch or like feeling from a shot. But once the needle is in, it feels like a dull ache until they remove it. Once the electrodes are going it just feeling like tingles. But the results were instant. Totally worth it

I had a knee injury in college soccer last year and the massage guns, the ice, nothing worked so I went out my way to get needling done in our town and brooooo, shit felt like I was gazelle in a meadow. Never have felt better. I’ve been meaning to go again but I have no time right now

The needle is on the side. The bone is centred. The calf is a good thick size so plenty of mass before the bone.

There are many studies and it's also used in many hospitals.What i don't like is they use random points on the body without knowing the structures below unlike acupuncture.

There are many factors that go into it but some include a reduction of nerve activity, reduced waste substance in area that generate pain, increased blood flow! Such an effective therapy.

I got this done today. Couldn’t walk for 5-6 hours after. The needling itself isn’t painful, the muscle spasming does and it took all day to calm down. Now it’s tender and painful to the touch. But you’ll feel better the next day. I had super tight calves for the last year that didn’t resolve on its own. Hopefully this will help 😰

It really depends on what is happening at your elbows. Definitely can help some issues such as tennis elbow.. i have done a few videos on it
