Being of my introverted personality, i don't mind letting go of people who I feel that are toxic. I tried to being altruistic and reaching out to people who I considered friends. I realized that 90% of them were trying to use me for favors, manipulating me to help out their problems, or hanging around due to convenience. When I was struggling and feeling down, most of them would never lend me a helping hand. A lot of my so called friends would always gossip behind my behind and act very snarky and condescending when I talk to them. You have to really thick skinned and strong minded if you want to live the loner lifestyle. Most ppl are weak minded and want to be around a large crowd in order to feel accepted. I feel very comfortable having a very small circle of friend and I make sure that ppl want to form a friendship with me have to prove themselves before I open up to them. This world that we live in is very sick and evil and opening up to everybody puts you in a position where ppl can exploit you.

I'm on your side because I'm more content rather than seeking short term happiness through friendship or nightlife. That shit is exhausting. Being alone doesn't mean lonely. It's reflective to oneself. In time, you'll began to develop friends in you. Recreating many types of personality in your own head. Once you achieved friending your own, it's going to feel weird wanting to have more people in your life. And it's fuckin 3am right now.
@mirityashaolu83915 жыл бұрын
i understand what u mean most people want to be in a crowd because they feel reassured. Sometimes we enjoy company and sometimes when having dealt with loneliness at some stage in ones life. Makes them not want to be alone, when you see people's happy faces together enjoying good time with their friends. You want to be able to have that emotion of happiness. Sometimes I'm like, if I leave this person because they haven't been caring much about me. and I'm alone all the time I'll get bored and it's so dull and boring. of course it's good to have solitude sometimes (peace of mind). having the thought of support and you giving support gives u a warm happy feeling. of Love,sincerity and kindness. Of course we won't always be able to agree with the persons thoughts but are able resolve disputes with out involving drama or outsiders. And without leaving the other party upset, annoyed and vulnerable. And sometimes with humans our emotions we Let get the better of us. What I'd like to do or wish to do is not go talk to my other friends about a dispute or something they might not known they have done that has upset or offended me. Of course if I'm upset with the friend I would say what I'm upset with them about kindly as possible. But sometimes my mind will over think they'll take it the wrong way or go and back talk you. It's that fear, but like someone close to me, me knowing them and them knowing me I wouldn't be as worried. Confrontation is all about the friend how you'll think the friend will the respond. I used think I wonder how people remember what to write in their diaries for they're whole day. I figured out If I don't want to talk to another friend about how one friend annoyed me. And if I'm so eager and just to let it out (I can't concentrate on a task when thinking about something that might've annoyed me). Get any old paper and literally scribble what I'm thinking. when i mean scribble i mean it doesn't even count as handwriting. And I did that and I knew what I meant thenext scrunched it up and put in the bin. Afterwards I was able to relax and concernstrate. All I did is write who got me annoyed and how I feel (usually the person has probably done it more than once). And I thought to myself I could've told someone else this and they could've wrecked my friendship with that person because in that time I was annoyed. And I could have something mean. Later on that day my friend did the same thing that pi**ed me off before. And I told them that doing this is making me feel so and so. She apolgzed and explained her side and I forgave her. Forgetting whatever happened, without regret that I said anything that to other people. As it is between me and that person.
@mirityashaolu83915 жыл бұрын
@@mydaysfilm3704 I understand that feeling to there are always going to be people who just like to provoke and upset you. But never let them stop u from where u are going to be in life. There's gonna be the most horrid people u come across in life and the most kindest people who should keep Close. It's ok if you can't fully trust people it just means your more aware, who knows maybe in time that kind person will gain your trust without u even knowing u trust them.

sheena chante' don't go by that logic. It's only one person's perspective that's making you think you have no friends?? Here's my opinion; true friends help you when you're down... what ever their intention is. Point is they helped you. (We as non toxic people need to feel gratitude for that) We all feel jealous emotions because we are all humans. There is no such thing a s a non jealous animal; Non jealous mamal; non jealous humans. We all have that emotion. The thing that separates good people from toxic people is that good peopel are able to keep their jealousy in check in order to prioritise what matters to them most- the friendship; the people they love. I wanna ask you to put yourselves in these shoes: your best friend becomes a successfull billionaire overnight... Will u not feel intense stabs of jealousy? Especially initially? Who wouldn't? But the thing is we reason with those jealous emotions and keep them in check because we love our friends and that was supposed to be their destiny. They may need real friends more than ever now that they are going through a tumultuous cycle (everything that comes with being rich and successful) so how can we then point fingers at our best friends if they did feel jealous over our success? It's our job to be empathetic towards them and include them in our life and our success.

Yes. Most of it is convenience. Very few become really close friends and still is convenience because they like the same subjects or else. The only true friend you will ever meet is yourself. Besides each of us have their very unique dreams or accomplishments to build. We keep changing people that can add you or add to your goals. And if you get up or down in the capital social ladder you loose even family because the beliefs and values radically change.

I've been friends with a few for years. A lot of times in a group setting I was observant. If I didn't say enough I wasn't being myself. I didn't care because, I knew it was always something messy going on. when I tried to stay away from it I end up back in it. These same people were also suppose to be my support when I was down. The same way I was for them, but it didn't happen that way. They took how I felt and used it against me. So I learned my lesson after so many years too late that I have only one good friend. That is my best friend I don't have more than one either. she told me for years stop saying you have friends not everybody is your friend. Call them your associates and I said well you're right. I love my best friend she is the only one that has honestly been there for me no matter what. I will never forget it. 👍😀 I will always love her for that after 24 years of knowing one another.

This is hands down the most insightful video I've looked at concerning this issue. Everybody and their momma keep dishing out the same painfully obvious signs of fake people, but what you touched on in this video is pure genius! And it's what I've been saying for years. Tough times don't usually bring out the envy in people. If anything, it strokes their ego when they see you go through things thy've had to go through, so it's almost like "haha you get to feel shitty too". They may be there for you because it's either satisfying them to see your discomfort and usher out their advice, or it pushes them into the bracket of "You owe me". Let's just say things start looking up for you and you get a well paying job, a decent partner, and a somewhat full-filled life, that drives them mad and suddenly, you're the person they can't stop comparing themself too. I've seen it happen, it totally sucks. It's really risky having friends.

But that's okay; I look back and cherish my few real friends as blessings whereas the fake friends I look back at as lessons. If somebody really wants to have something to do with you they'll do their part and make an effort to be a friend. If they don't my advice is DON'T waste your time on them! I live in Jamaica and my people shipped me a barrel from New York, but before they did my landlord daughter asked me if I can have my people send some dryed fruits to make rum cake or whatever. Make a long story short, I know she don't like me cuz I'm good as in everything n she has it kinda hard. But since I been here, n since I grew up in a house full of woman, I respect all woman n try to help when I can, which I do. The barrel came, oh yeah forgot. She (the daughter) has a 16 year old daughter n she does good in school n Respect her parent, which I commend, cause living in NY kids doing what they want was the regular. So had a gift ( Polo hat ) sent for her in the barrel. Ok the shit came like two days ago. My peoples are good people so they sent a lot of fruit, I gave the fruits n gift to the daughter cause the mom was gone. The daughter was very thankful like a kid would n I positively know she gave her mom the fruits, but yesterday not 1 thank you..smh...today I seen her she seen me n still no thanks..shit crazy...I love it tho ( Kanye voice ) Stunt tommorow 😂

Arthaliel Aquart It's crazy that people spend more energy being negative than positive. When you do not feed into their negativity being directed at you. Then they will eventually come around and stop the ignorance. I read your comment and it's a sweet gesture. She might not have any real friends for the same reason she's treating you that way. I love the fact that you grew up around women and respect them as well. It is her lost and someone else's gain to see how special you are as a friend. 👌

omg this is the truest thing ever. i moved to a different country for almost 2 years and when i came back i expected all my "friends" to want to see me and catch up on life but literally only 2 people actually seemed to care for my arrival and for everyone else (to me it seemed) they acted like whatever and wasn't so eager to see me and it really hurt my feelings because the whole time while i was gone i missed them and couldn't wait to be reunited with everyone but they just took the souvenirs i bought them and never bothered hitting me up again....

+Stephanie Crystal Stephanie, those weren’t ever real friends...life has a funny way of teaching us what we need to know. Take that lesson and move forward while keeping in mind what you’ve learned from the past, as well as from this video! You have to take hold of Life or it will take hold of you, the choice is yours...and you don’t need friends to do that! I wish you all the best!

this is absolutely useful information. your points are relatable with my "fake friends". I just realize it now. how come three friends of mine soon to be fake friends, told me that I became more assertive and ferocious after I refuse to go partying with them, because I have to focus on improving my work, my income. Usually I just yes to them or obey them to please them! Now when I said No to them, they mock my work and trying to guilty trip me in any way. Bye Fake friends. I will see all of you from the TOP! Proost! Dank U Ryan David!!!

From the bottom of my heart I just wanted to say thank you! I don't really ever comment on videos but this just blew me away with how precise the timing of hearing this message is and just how true the message you are saying. I have been completely dumbfounded in my life recently as people who i used to call close friends from the casual retail employment I have, have seen me grow in my faith and therefore step into leadership positions. I have also recently completed my degree and have just gotten the best possible graduate job in my field of work and along with this a recent boyfriend who has completely blown me away and shown me his love in ways i never knew possible! With all these good things happenings, can you guess how these girls reacted to this news? Well for starters whenever i spoke to them about this future job or this new man their response seemed insincere and like they were not really happy for me, as i would be if the situation was reversed. Even though I have tried every effort to help them up and encourage them, not only have they not listened, but they have felt the need to create a scenario where an intervention seemed to be needed for me because of the times where I have tried to call them out on their behavior and help them up. They sat there and pointed fingers at me and told me all the ways I've hurt them and how I've been wrong and added an extra 2 people that were apparently needed for what seemed like moral support or someone to mediate the conversation when I've known these girls for about 2 years. I now know that they are just jealous and insecure and are not really there for me, but i never knew that i would figure this out when good times came about rather than the bad times. It's been a hard lesson but you've helped explain this mentality that has helped me heal that little bit more and I just want to thank you heaps again!

I’ve been learning about this lately. People who I thought were on my side never were to begin with and just secretly want me to fail. It sucks because I want them to succeed just as much as I have and they don’t wanna do things for themselves at all but just hate on people who do

Truth bombs being dropped allllll over this video. I've spent the past few days questioning some people's true natures at my work place. My initial instinct was anger followed by the detective thing. But now I'm going to change tactics. I've got plenty of things to be working on myself, growth wise. There's no better test than this. It IS ride or die. Bonus? Me bettering myself will be an even more satisfying 'Fuck You' than any plot to expose them will ever be.

This is so on point! Man I am usually nice to the guys I usually hang out with on college, and be someone who can they always count on and when they have bad situations I can be the man who will support them and be someone who they can tell their problems. But after I noticed that they usually do nothing if I had some bad situations so I thought I should back off a bit until I dont help them on they're bad situations unless they asked me personally. And that little change is just enough for me to know that 2 of them are awfully fake. Good thing I just graduated so i dont have to deal with them again.

This literally happened in my life, I used to spend a lot of time partying and drinking making mistakes and my friends were always there to laugh and giggle and enjoy the show, I started focusing on my goals, started working harder in my career and those very same people started treating me like crap, started picking fights with me and their whole demeanor changed all because I no longer carried myself the same. They even made comments about the fact that I hung out with co workers I met at my new job and things just got super messy, I ended up cutting an entire group of people off.

There's a lot of talk about self nowadays and less sense of community and unity. This video is proof of that. That you need to dump your slow friends in order for you to succeed in your endeavors. I'm young but I get a feeling things haven't always been like this.
@TheRyanDavid6 жыл бұрын
That is not what this video is about at all. This video is to help inform and educate people on how to assess their friendships in a way that empowers them to make helpful decisions as to who they invest themselves in an on going relationship with. As for talk about the self, if you watch any of my content about self improvement or personal growth, you will see and note that my philosophy and emphasis on the self is to self improve so that we can be the best version of ourselves so that we are best able to serve the community. You’re useless to the community if you’re inadequate or can’t even help yourself first. I did a whole video on the concept of self help from my perspective and how it is often misunderstood. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oInMnIeJoJ6Znbs

Hi Ryan. Thanks for taking time to reply. Hope you recognize I wasn't being bashful or anything. I guess what I wrote is just a general concern of mine regarding the overall energy that is around us. Individuality is slowly becoming something people turn to in order to get ahead. It is almost like there's a long checklist now of "what constitutes a good friend". And if someone doesn't tick all the boxes, then whoops, that's a fake friend. So they have to get cut off. At 4:30 you raise an interesting point that your friends might only be helping you when you're down so you owe them or out of guilt or whatever. Personally I don't really care what motivates a person to be or do good for me. As long as they felt the need to do it, we're good and I appreciate. Perhaps here you come from an assumption that people are innately good and therefore that is the only reason why they do good... because they are just good. But if that were the case then we wouldn't have to teach toddlers moral values like gratitude. Like how and when to say "thank you".They'd just know. So really what I'm trying to say is that actually people are innately selfish and all sorts of jealous. Of cause your friends are jealous of you because hey they're human. So is that a reason to cut them off??? No! Pluuuus what happens after I had made new friends that took me to some higher level and I reach their heights? Do I cut them off too to find new ones that I can use to climb??? *if you couldn't read the whole thing skip to here :)* In any case, I appreciate the vid man and actually learnt a lot where I agreed. Keep making them. And come visit Africa fam. One love

Thanks for that. We are often taught that fake friends will walk out during tough times, but I have seen that involuntary smirk at my misfortune, and how they disappeared the moment I published my first book. This was quite shocking coming precisely from those whose careers I have helped and supported over the years. I guess they think I can't be of use anymore. The sad thing is, I am in a greater position to help further, but they probably assume everyone is a traitor like them.

A lot of things changed with me when I got diagnosed lung cancer. The things I used to go out of my way and do for people I don’t do anymore. Suddenly don’t seem so important. Like I love people and when they need me I’m there. But the using me wanting me only to be there on their terms I can’t do anymore. Surprisingly when toxic people where gone I got more friends who where real like me. I got to have opinions and listen to theirs as well. Friendship should be like that. Meeting each other in the middle to a certain point anyway.

Thank u for your video Ryan David alot of youtube channels state that , fake friends will behave this certain way if something bad happens or they will behave this certain way it something good happens. But when u think sometimes you have friends that surprise u when something bad happened and they're there. But not celebrate your achievements so your then left confused. And the whole act of playing the detective is ever so tiring, trying to figure out are they good or not? I like how u said that instead of playing detective. Have something u want to improve on and when u have achieved that the people around do they celebrate with u, or leave u celebrate yourself. I just want to say thank you for the video it's making it clearer for me to make the decision in keeping a friend as friend.
