I did not expect the Halo 5 rocket launcher to fit in so well with Doom 3's aesthetic. Nothing beats the SPNKR though.

Astheticly halo designs are nice but proportionally they are messed up. No way are they going to arm the military with guns proportioned for people as big as Spartans. With that said their heart was in the right direction with the designs. Some people tweaked them a bit and made them look exceptional.

@@wonderingpariah8049 Well, that's the beauty of science fiction weapons. They don't have to be entirely realistic. However, now that you mentioned proportions, I find it funny how in Halo 3 ODST your viewmodels have the same proportions as base Halo 3, despite both player characters being much different in size.

That assault rifle has no way in hell of holding 60 round of 308 in that design. Is it still an insanely cool design, no way I can say I hate it. It's sleek but utilitarian enough to look like some oicw program guns.

I always fantasized what it would be like if a group of spartan 2s or 4s were to be sent to mars to deal with the doom 3 hell invasion and how they would hold up and this mod was the closest thing to what i always wondered great work. I especially love how the Halo CE Assault Rifle is the most OP weapon to use against the demons and how you were able to quickly take out a hell knight with it, makes me curious to see how the CE Magnum would go up against the demons i know the imps, wraiths and Vulgar wouldn't stand a chance. 😈

Maybe you'll see how well the CE Magnum does in the lost mission. Also yeah, the MA5B is just that good. Ammo is limited for a reason and it's explained in a video disc. I went with the Marine protagonist because I wanted the player to be an underdog, but despite not being a super soldier is able to beat the shit out of hell and it's forces.

Every gun here fits great: grenades are quick and swift that's crazy! But I love it. RL is just badass, shotgun does its job outstandingly, including MA-series AR. Other guns also feel extremely good, its impact is pleasant that's for sure. I know it may sound like a favor, but can you show us gameplay on Hell level as well? Would be awesome to watch!

The guns function like they do in doom 3, but have been altered to act more like Halo. So each gun fills the same role it did in doom 3, but feels like Halo. Some guns are notably better. Like the MA5B replacing the chaingun. The animations are all made by my friend Adorabirb

Huh, I wonder if making real life weapons is also possible now with this mod. Thinking like a double stack 1911/2011 for the pistol, SPAS-12 for the shotgun, M4 for the assault rifle, M134 Minigun for the Chaingun, etc.

Funny that you've mentioned that. I've considered making a weapon pack inspired by the Doom Movie. Notably replacing the Machinegun with a G36K lol. I also thought about just making a half life 2 weapon pack for the meme

Half Life 2 weapon pack may be good too, especially the shotgun since Doom 3’s shotgun is very much a futurized SPAS-12. Though maybe I just see SPAS-12s everywhere since I own one IRL.

Holy hell this looks awesome, definitely getting this as soon as it's out. *A couple things though:* 1. Will this need OG Doom 3 or the BFG Edition? 2. Would it be possible to add some of the Doom 3 Plasma Rifle reload sounds to this version? It's one of the few things Doom 3s weapons got right. 3. Nitpicking: the cross-bolt safety on the AR (just above the trigger) is not animated. It's not a dealbreaker but it would be nice to have like in Halo:CE.

One of Doom 3's original shortcomings were the clunky weapons. They didn't feel or look right so this is a definitely an improvement. Good job. My only suggestion is the sounds. If you're going to reskin the guns, go full tilt and amp the sounds they make. Nice and heavy. The original Doom 3's guns sounded weak.

I know the Halo 5 Rocket launcher looked familiar, Is almost like an alternate version of the Doom 3 Rocket launcher. Honestly this would be more accurate if there where Halo 2 weapons, mostly because they are very much from the same year of release. Master Chief at this point must be like "Fu#$ing demons on Mars? Well, at least they aren't the Flood."

mod takes place in 2553, a few months after the war ends. The pilum wasn't really made until 2558, but I went with the idea of it being a prototype, since guns are tested for decades before being fully released. (like the br55)

I really should have been specific with the comment, when I meant "at the same time" I didn't meant the games in universe timeline, I meant the games Halo 2 and Doom 3 were released in 2004, so the look and weapons of Halo 2 would fit nicely in this mod. The railgun as the BFG felt somewhat anti-climatic if you ask me. The assault rifle looks a bit overpowered, but even tho great mod, the Halo assault rifle aesthetics fits way more than the OG Doom 3 machinegun and the Halo series shotguns are pure boomstick

The assault rifle is the replacement for the chaingun, and the only stat change is the fact that it doesn’t have to wind up to shoot

Also I have no idea what I could've replaced the BFG that would make sense. The weapon replacement has to be capable of reloading, and it has to make sense in the context of Doom 3. Which is why there's no covenant weapons. One of the concepts I had was taking the Halo 5 gauss turret and having that be a portable weapon, but I ran into the same issue of reloading. Anyways, I figured the railgun was cool because it's lore is that it's shooting Fuel Rod Plasma infused Slugs

Halo 5 rocket launcher snapped me back to reality, partially because it's Halo 5, and partially because the textures/model of the gun looks a bit overly cartoon-y plastic-y while also being overdetailed at the same time due to how Halo 5's artstyle was. Also, the Saw is cool but with it covering the Plasma Rifle, I feel some Covenant weapon really would've just been better. Other than that, this is really amazing. The sounds, animations, and just looks of the guns fit so well and naturally.

If you think about it, it fits perfectly given it's replacing the Doom 3 rocket launcher (designs are pretty similar), and it's more feasible for a Marine to carry
