I’ve fallen in love with Serge over the past year and am interested in smelling almost all of their perfumes. I own, in order of purchase, Fille en Aiguilles (a love but only want to wear around Christmas,) Fils de Joie (my fave Jasmine,) and Chergui (old bottle purchased in December and my current fave lutens.) Chergui is the most complex and intoxicating Serge I’ve tried. Loved hearing your thoughts as always Pep!

When I bought a bottle of Chergui there was a offer on if you spent over a certain amount you would get a 10ml bottle and that offer was Ecrin de Fumee, which I wasn’t bothered about getting but then when it arrived, I was blown away by it. Sometimes I think it may be even better than Chergui. There’s a beautiful warmth to it that reminds me of cosying up to someone and not having a care in the world and you feel encased in that hug in that warmth. Out of what I’ve tried from SL it may well be the one that has truly blown me away. Oh and the after shower scent it leaves behind is delicious too.

@@TheScentinel On paper it’s okay but when it’s on skin it’s just the -right-amount of strong. Not overpowering or heavy. It’s spot on and stays that way. So it’s really worth testing it out. After this 10ml bottle if I only have to buy one SL it will be this!

Great list, Pep. I first obtained Ambre Sultan and Chergui after hearing and reading so many positive reviews. I've wanted La Couche du Diable for some time. I passed on it several times and then it disappeared from US stockist & discounters. I was lucky to score an older 100ml bottle on the auction site. I love all three, with LCdD being my favorite. Next on my Serge Lutens wish list is Cuir Mauresque. There are so many more that I want to check out. They just seem so obscure to get my head wrapped around, in a good way.

Serge Lutens fragrances are always fun to sniff. Even when the scent isn’t for me, I’ve always found them to be so evocative. My favorites of the ones I’ve tried so far are Miel de bois, Ambre Sultan and MKK Seeing Arabie on your list and you previously mentioning Al Oudh in another video, I’d be curious to what you have to say about PdE’s Aziyadé!

My favourite brand!❤ TC has been my signature for about 4 years now! I'm surprised you didn't mention MKK!! Thought it was going to be your no 1! I love so many of Lutens perfumes, but the best are : Sarrasins, Fumerie Turque, Daim Blond, Jeux de Peau, Bas de Soie, Rose de Nuit, Une Voix Noire, Fils de Joie, Dompteuse Encagee, Feminite du Bois, Un Lys, Fille en Aiguilles, A la Nuit.. I tried Serge Noir only once at the very beginning of my journey and must try it again!

I've owned quite a few SL and have feelings similar to yours, so not too many left. Cuir Mauresque is up there, Vetiver O, Santal M, Five o'Clock... Have bottles of Arabie and Chypre Rouge on the way, will be fun to get to know those. Considering picking up Ambre Sultan again. The last ones I have yet to try (high on wishlist) are Borneo and Sarrasins.

Hi Pep. I'm lucky enough to have a few SL perfumes. Wouldn't it be great to get to the flagship shop in Paris with enough money to buy one or two. For me, a pilgrimage. Well...I blame you. This has a good angle, I promise. It was your El- Attarine video many moons ago that locked me in on Serge. I already had and loved AS, FdB, Arabie and Chergui and wrongly surmised that must be it from this house. How wrong was I?? I managed to find a decant of El-Attarine and that did it for me. Sarrasins, Rousse, Bois de Violette, Mandarine Mandarin and FeA followed in quick succession. From then on it's been another addition here and there along with other houses over the years....until last year. End of '23 La Myrrhe was a constant wear, I decided that '24 was going to be the year of no more missing out on SL's I come across or see for sale. I solely concentrated on them, it wasn't boring but fruitful and good fun. Found some great pickups in my travels in seemingly the unlikeliest of places. I now have the Serge's that I had been eyeing for many years and I know I will never tire of them. So much so that I have sold many other bottles in my collection that I consider in not holding anything to these that I have. Thought provoking, beautiful and different, I'm easily satisfied but I went round the houses to get there. Great Video and thanks for the enlightenment.

I love serge Lutens, their perfumes are intoxicating. I prefer to wear Serge Lutens in Autumn, Winter or even Spring as they can be full on, sometimes the cumin in some of his perfumes reminds me of BO, so I spread lightly and away from the face or neck. I intend to try and get a few when I’m in Paris in a few months. I want to get De Profundis, Iris Silver mist and Muscs Khoublai Khan and Sarrasins or Santal De Mysore. For my birthday. Will buy only 4. great perfume house. Thanks

@@TheScentinel Now that Sheldrake is no longer listed as a nose behind the scents they release (i think SL got a bit jealous that Sheldrake was getting all the praise and dissed him in an interview for being just a "technician" and not the artist creating the scents) the fragrances have gone into a bit too simplistic direction imho, albeit still quite unique. But alas, nothing lasts forever.
