NA overperformed in 2017. The main problem of the region is that they need to play with 3 "NA"-players (which also includes Bjergsen because of TSM bias by Riot) - and NA as a competitive region is just trash.

I'm glad TSM loss to MSF. Why? because NA does well week one because they don't know the strength of their group so they practice hard and try their hardest. Once they get 2-1 records they mental slack-off because they only need one win the next week. Since Group D is all 2-1 its basically the same of week 1 so they should go in the week with the same intensity( or even more). No mental slacking I hope.

Kevin Surjanto cloud 9 has almoat free group. They are paired with 2 c tier teams and one s+ tier. Tsm is more experienced than msf. Msf might upset them once but theyre not consistent and rookies to worlds. Msf is c tier i think G2 was euws best chance and A tier but samsung and rng are both S tier and title contenders. Tsm is A tier like g2 but We A tier too so theres def a big chance. Fw is d tier rn in international play. But both c9 and tsm should win their group. If msf beats tsm theyre really lucky

Wtf do you know that by NA import rules you can't have more than 2 imports unless they are exempted? All NA teams at worlds have at least 3 NA players. Just cause they're ethnically asian doesn't mean they weren't raised in America and began playing league in NA. NA is not made up of only white people, jesus.

Let me just preface this by saying I have nothing against NA, it's just my opinion on the subject. To me if you grew up in NA (as in lived all/nearly all your life) then I wouldnt consider you an import, even if both your parents are idk from China or some country in Europe. But if you're like Bjerg and moved to NA to play on a team as an import, then I think you're still an import even if you've gotten the US citizenship and technically dont count as one anymore. I still consider Bjerg to be from Europe especially since he even played in the LCS there. And thats the only example I can give since I don't know the background of most other players

I honestly think that bjerg is S/S+ midlaner and easily one of the best (if not the best) in NA (although granted his recent performance wasn't really something to write home about). The whole world is full of mechanically good players, even the wildcard regions that some people don't even know about. Korea (and china as well) are just much better at macro and playing the game as a team.

pandour 2014 na actually had 2 teams get out of groups, the 3rd na team which was lmq which had a full chinese roster was in thr group of death, with fanatic, OMG from china and SSB Korea's first seed. So Na did pretty well

May I just say that actually this was more then the expected results from 2015 for NA. Non of the NA teams actually looked good, they where really bad and many people already said they had no hope for NA. On top of that EU had 2 very strong teams, China was supposed to be incredibly strong (even tho they weren't) and the Korean teams where just incredible with SKT being the undisputed best. So it should have come as no surprise to see all the NA teams fail the way they did. And honestly now they make it out to be some spectacular under performance of the NA teams while realistically that year NA was just utter trash (it has to be said).
