I remember hearing it like twice on a weird station that also absolutely butchered gaga songs, ironically. I remember "love game intuition ain't the same without a gun / and baby if its not rough it isn't fun" being just cut out, but like a new soundtech did it and was extremely rough and not on beat. Also rember "eyeliner and cigarettes" being bleeped. Like, three literal bleeeeeep-bleep-bleeeeps in the middle of a song. If Im not mistaken they also played the rough ass demo of E.T. Futuristic Lover from Katy Perry where its all breathy and unmastered (and near impossible to find now). No one talks about these things lol. Edit bonus points if you remember Christmas Tree being on the radio for a fraction of time before they all caught on and took it down

Last year, Kesha's mom revealed that around the time she was writing and recording for Warrior and all the mental abuse with Dr. Luke, Kesha wanted to drive her car off the Mulholland Drive cliff and kill herself. That was about the time this song came out. This song has a happy vibe, but the more I think about the lyrics, it has a really sinister undertone. 1. She mentions Mulholland Drive, the place where she talked about killing herself. 2. "The world was about to end." End as in suicide? Possibly. 3. "I hope I go out with a bang" Maybe she means just getting drunk from the shots, or maybe she means something else. 4. "Not for the money, not for the fame" It was around the time of Warrior when Kesha was fighting for making the kind of music she wanted, and break away from the image Dr. Luke marketed for her. Maybe that's what she's talking about. I might be reading into this waaaaaayyyyy too much, but I do think this song is related to Kesha's depression and suicidal thoughts.
