I am disappointed that my native country of Malaysia has never won an Olympic gold despite coming so close in so many occasions, maybe Paris 2024 will be their moment, just hope so too. Malaysia had the number 1 ranked badminton player in the World back from 2008 to 2012 and he won 3 silver medals at the Olympics. I wish them the best, it would be amazing to see them get gold. Paraguay might boost its chances in the long term: in 2022 they hosted the South American Games and it brought lots of attention to sports there and some feats have been achieved in sports since then, something unheard of for Paraguay. So far their only hope would be football, they do not look so strong for the upcoming football tournament, though. Iceland has a strong handball team but since they failed to qualified to Paris it seems there is no chance, I so want to be wrong. Saudi Arabia was so close to gold twice: 400 meters hurdles where Saudi Arabia was three hundredths of a second short of gold and in 2020 in karate where the Saudi fighter was leading the final match but he was disqualified for an illegal kick, a call that surprised many.

Several of these nations on the list have been painfully close, and most have decent athletic traditions so you gotta figure it happens for them eventually. So they're surprising now for sure, but I'm sure if we give them time something good will happen. Maybe even in Paris in a week or two!

It is so sad why their a other country that can't get gold medal in Olympic, But their is a one country who never get into podium again and never won the gold medal. Haiti is the one of the most country that has never won gold medal with only 1 silver and 1 bronze. But the most sadness about this country is that their last medal that Haiti won it medal was almost 100 years ago (96 years ago actually) in 1928 Olympic Amsterdam when they got the silver medal at Athletics. Although their is one single man from Haiti that won gold medalist, His name is Constantin Henriquez and he was a rugby who won the gold medal at 1900 Paris Olympic as Mixed Team, but still isn't as haiti's medal due the of mixed with other country.
