Mitchell is an interesting player with rather short formal basketball training experiences (late in this 15 years old begin to play in high school) in this league. His body is ready for NBA in the physical but his experience and understanding of the game is improving inconceivably fast. Baron Davis once mentioned that Mitchell was willing to take advice from coaches and devote himself to the practice to learn very quickly.

Jonathan Benavides Lonzos jumpshot physically limits his offense. He physically can't go to the right and shoot a jumper. If he goes to his right it's limited to a floater, layup or dunk. He physically can't pullup and shoot a midrange jumper. When teams start to pick up on this and force him right they will know whats coming every time. He's handicapping himself.

So how can lonzo shoot terribly and have some of the worst numbers of all the rookies and be an all star in the future, but markkenan can put up 15 ppg and 37% from 3 but be a "fringe all star"??????

U are underrating Donovan Mitchell. I know u made this video before his 41 point outburst, but he's already the jazz #1 option on offense and plays elite defense. His low shooting % can be attributed to a slow start and adjusting to being the #1 option on offense, but his % has been much better in November.

Lauri markannan is a 7 footer knocking down 3 pointers, racking up rebounds, driving his way in to the paint, and setting solid screens for his team. It saddens me that he won’t even get considered for ROTY while Lonzo, who has been playing like absolute shit, is still looked at higher, just because he is overhyped by the media and his father.

Maya Stevens... don't be a Lonzo hater and look at his game clearly... the kid has ridiculous potential... he is VERY smart... his shot has been bad, ok... but he's VERY smart... his passes are GREAT and he plays a very up tempo game that is fun to see... and he's actually a nice kid... his dad is a douche but that's NOT HIS FAULT... you can't expect Lonzo to be at an All Star level from day one... let the kid grow... and he's in the conversation for ROTY because while he shoots bad, he's also passing like a machine and he's helping his team a lot... if the kid shot the ball good, he would be almost as good as All Star players... IN HIS ROOKIE YEAR!! THAT WOULD BE INSANE... So, stop hating him, enjoy his game, it's fun to watch him and if you want to hate someone, hate his dad... Lonzo is a great player and yes, he's gonna be an All Star... someone with this kind of basketball IQ and ball handling skills most of the time do become All Stars... As for Lauri Markannen... if this kid puts in the work, he could be the next Dirk... he has true potential... his shot is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD already... he is clever, he plays the right way, he doesn't take bad shots and he knows how to take advantage of his 7foot body... also, he's clearly been watching Dirk since he loves that post fadeaway and he's working on it a lot... doesn't do it on one foot, but you get the point... similar motion like the way Dirk does it...

And since when did you see me praise Brandon Ingram before? This is the first time I've commented in this channel about him. And you want to see who's the better player? Jaylen Brown - 15.9 ppg 6.3 rpg 1.2 apg 1.2 spg 0.3 bpg 46%fg 41%3fg. Brandon Ingram 14.7 ppg 5.4 rpg 3.0 apg 0.8 spg 0.8 bpg 45%fg 30%3fg. There's not much difference between these stats and by the way, Jaylen Brown is playing with a playoff contending team while Ingram's team isn't even supposed to be winning as much games as they are now. You can argue that Jaylen's better since he's shooting better, but that's what happens when you have a lot of offensive threats playing around you, makes it easier for you to get wide open shots. Other than the 3pt shooting, they are just equal players.

Very nice video! You couldn't know Donovan Mitchell was going to improve that quick but he's the only one I rate differently: If you put him at shooting guard, the only guys right now who have shown they're probably better in the future are Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. If I don't forget a player, the others are either unproven or way out of their prime when Mitchell hits his. Whereas you just picked 3 point guards from the rookie class as future all stars. In my opinion Mitchell's chances to become an all star are at least level and probably higher.

John Collins: who? Anunoby: Starter (he's okay, but tbh not close the level of all-star) Lonzo: fringe all-star (performs decently outside of shooting, fix that shot and he could go places) De'Aaron Fox: all-star (needs to get more experience, can be lethal) Markkanen: starter; fringe all-star (may exceed this expectation, but not sure) Kuzma: starter; fringe all-star; all-star (performing well- not sure about kuzma atm) Donovan Mitchell: all-star (great player, more experience and he could turn out surprisingly well) Dennis Smith Jr: tbh haven't seen too much of him, someone tell me how he is Tatum: all-star; superstar (holding his load as a rookie on very good team) Simmons: all-star; superstar (play making machine, quick reactions, fix shooting) not sure if these are too accurate but this is how i see them from what they are atm. lonzo, kuzma, and markkanen are debatable mitchell, tatum, simmons are insanely promising to me, i hope they turn out well. tell me what you think, no hate please just discuss vvvv

I feel that Lonzo will be like a Jason Kidd type player. Remember the game vs the Warriors or the Game winning Assist vs Philly. When Lonzo plays aggressive, he shines, but when he doesn’t he seems that he is is middle schooler vs Kobe Bryant in a 1 on 1. Plus people calling Lonzo a bust in his first 25 games, like com’on it’s his first 25 games. Look at Curry’s first 25 games. So don’t give up on Lonzo, not just yet. This isn’t Lavar.

Markkanen shouldn't be "fringe all star" he has the potential to be a superstar and so far he is filling the potential he has. He's been really consistent (despite couple off nights but everybody has them) and even though he gets a lot of minutes he doesn't get the ball all that much so he's been making the most out of it. Also he is actually the best player on the playing bulls roster as a rookie and that is an achievement no matter how shit team he plays in it is still a NBA team and by playing in such a bad team he doesn't have the people around him who are good enough to help him to get to next level. For example Tatum has Kyrie and many other good playmakers around him, Lonzo is a good playmaker and a pass first pg which makes Kuzma's game much easier and John Collins has Schröder and so on. All I'm saying that don't sleep on Markkanen he's gonna blow up in couple years.

Reminds me of Melo and Lebron. We all know Melo is a natural scorer but it's a given that Lebron is simply a better player overall.

How is someone who shoots 31 percent from the field and 50 percent from the free throw line “destroying” the NBA?
@montimiller27437 жыл бұрын
Magic will work with him in the off-season to get his shot where it needs to be. E.J. knows full-well himself because when he came into the league he didn't have an outside shot as well and with hard work and determination Magic became quite deadly from outside, just watch him go at Jordan & Isaiah at the end of the 92 all-star game.

on the suns' bench. as a suns fan who never saw the hype around Jackson in college and who was pissed when we drafted him, josh jackson just isn't a good player and the suns need to trade him while he's still worth something.

I remember the Pistons had a foul machine like John Collins named Micheal Curry, he'd have 2 fouls before he hit the court

Ben Simmons is one of very few who is truly ambidextrous, he literally can drive, shoot with either hand with ease and he has Air Jordan like body control. I think that is what messes up his outside shooting, he can't figure out what hand to shoot with. Oh did I mention he passes like a magic...(almost like).....Johnson.

Lonzos jumpshot physically limits his offense. He physically can't go to the right and shoot a jumper. If he goes to his right it's limited to a floater, layup or dunk. He physically can't pullup and shoot a midrange jumper. When teams start to pick up on this and force him right they will know whats coming every time. He's gotta fix it or he'll be predictable his whole career.

So it helped prepare him for the NBA which is kinda like giving someone a year to prepare for the NBA knowing he is in it but not playing but even though giving him more time most of it he cannot do much since his injury affects him
