I'm one of the the unlucky ones I had 18 auto immune diseases for over 20 years would have never thought to go carnivore I got so bad that I was in the hospital and they told my wife I probably didn't have long. She had just seen Mikaela Peterson on Joe Rogan and we had nothing left to lose. 2 years later every medical problem I had is gone or in complete remission! I was so sick the military had to retire me at 30 and at 45 I became a shut in cause I couldn't walk from the RA and I couldn't go out without 💩 myself! Now at 49 I lost 120lbs learned how to mountain bike and been back in the gym the last 6 months! Life is good and God has blessed me! Thanks guys for unlearning me from the standard fitness world! 💪👍

Were you ever stationed at FT Mclellan AL? I was and I had tumors etc .. the same tumors returned in my chest and had to be removed again .. I think eventually it's gonna take me down ... But I had all kinds of issues while at Ft Mclellan where I served OSUT as an MP .. it looks like your health has improved 👍 but I wanted to throw that out there bcuz ft Mclellan was shut down by the EPA and Monsanto chem co has to pay 700 mill to locals in Anniston Alabama where ft Mclellan is located .. they only paid the civilians but naturally they deny chemicals existed on base .. but the EPA labelled it a superfund and shut down y the entire base I think in 94 ... I was there 88 ... Its not been reopened since... They found pcb's and nbc chemicals in the soil water air etc .. shit that causes leukemia and a list of the other 1% bad disorders Anyway I just wondered brother 🤡 Best of luck 👍

Rice/potatoes “cooled” before eating makes it a resistant starch (good for micro biome). Cold then reheated is fine but must be cold first to be good for micro biome. Also, grass fed butter has more nutrients and much better for you

Love y'all. Been listening 4-5 years. I fell off my fitness around a year ago due to a variety of things coming up in life. I'm prepping for my wedding in November and have been consistent in the gym the past 3 months; diet is dialed in, working through Anabolic for the third time and really focusing on mobility and trigger sessions. I'm noticing significantly less back pain (something I battle with) during squats and DLs. Focusing on mobility with much lighter weight has helped, but I also want to bump my numbers (about to start a bulk) before going into a cut prior to our wedding. Would LOVE Powerlift to help with this! I appreciate y'all. Enjoy your day.

This was great!! I actually did the carnivore diet by accident - that's how I learned about this diet - because I was on a weight training program where I had to eat high protein and was instructed to eat it first. I was worried about it because I couldn't eat anything else after the protein. My trainer reassured me not to worry, but I started researching and sure enough...seems to be very beneficial for some people. I noticed for myself that sweet cravings disappeared - I could walk past a bowl of fruit and not be tempted at all, which used to be a problem for me. I also noticed, just by upping my protein intake, my weight began to plummet. It took a couple of months, but I didn't need to watch calories at all!! Funny thing: I had done every conceivable diet, would lose weight fast and then put it back on without changing anything. With eating primarily carnivore, the weight came off slowly at first and then just melted off. I've never had that happen before! This has reminded me to get back to the high protein first eating. I put on a few pounds over the lockdowns...it's time to get serious again! ;-)

Hi guys, I just found your channel and truly love that you cater to us regular folk that are starting out in the gym and on a healthy lifestyle journey..in this short period of time I really look up to you guys and only listen to your podcast since i started on July 1,2022..But I'm not sure if you're aware of the toxic gym culture that's going on right now especially on social media? There's been a ton of incidents of people secretly filming new gym goers with 'bad form' just trying to weight lift in order to embarrass them online without their consent..I feel so lucky and blessed that I get to go around 4am when there's hardly anyone there due to the fact that I'm currently working from home. But for anyone that has to go during peak hours when ego-driven men/women are dominating the gym floors..what advice or encouragement would you offer us? Anything would help. This is sad and crazy. Thank you so much in advance! You guys are a solid rock 💪🙏🧠❤

Throwing my comment in for the MAPS program: So, I know you can't cut fat and bulk at the same time, and I know you guys recommend to focus on weight training in order to build muscle to increase your metabolic rate and lose fat that way. Currently, I weight 205lbs and could probably stand to lose 30lbs of fat or so, I'd be fairly cut though (definitely not shredded) at that amount of fat loss. Here's my question: For my protein intake to go the muscle-building route, do I want to focus on the 'bulking' number or the 'cutting' number for protein needs, or are they much different?

This is pretty much the basis of what I eat. I am not good with wheat, corn, oats or beans. Also not milk. They all cause sinus inflammation, brain fog, poor sleep. I never really thought of Asparagus or Zucchini being special though they are filling lower carb alternatives. Might have put cabbage/broccoli/Brussels sprouts, peeled tomato and tomato sauce, and mushrooms, and maybe garlic/parsley/basil. I also will use plenty of highly hydrolyzed milk protein and cyclic dextrin. I also might put a few things along with rice and potatoes like plantains, starchy squashes and pumpkin, brown rice pasta, and breads made from rice and sorghum. 2 points. 1) I am not good with "milk", and I think it is a combination of both lactose and milk proteins. I have had sinus inflammation from whey protein that is not hydrolyzed and has no lactose. I have also had issues with goat milk which has lactose but different polypeptides from cow's milk so I can't rule out lactose, or milk polypeptides, however if I avoid lactose and eat milk protein that is either hydrolyzed or that has been worked on by bacteria such as in yoghurt, cheese, sour cream then it is great. They hydrolyzed milk protein is broken down a lot so it doesn't interact with the immune system. Lactose free Greek Yoghurt seems good too. Also, if I eat whey or casien with pineapple blended in it doesn't cause issues. 2) I have genetically elevated Uric Acid which I keep down by avoiding alcohol and sugary drinks and treats and also non-alcoholic beer. Most of the time, that keeps my Uric acid great, but when losing weight and training very intensely, Uric Acid levels rise from the breakdown of body tissues. It is short term, but it makes fat loss harder because Uric Acid is inflammatory, raises insulin resistance by raising cortisol, and lowers metabolism by lowering thyroid function. So keeping Uric Acid down when losing weight is super critical to the success of the weight loss. During fat loss period I will also eliminate shellfish and organ meat which can boost UA considerably, and I try to keep animal meat down. Muscle meat also does elevate UA some, though not like sugar or alcohol. So I will eat a lot more eggs which are low UA, and hydrolyzed or fermented lactose free milk protein and keep fish and meat down to 1 meal a day. Bill Pearl cut animal meat and fish because of high Uric Acid, and by monitoring my UA, and looking at my family history I can see that I am high UA prone, and if your UA goes over 7 on a caloric deficit you may want to replace meat with eggs or milk protein during the weight loss period as it will lower cortisol, make you more insulin sensitive and keep your thyroid function higher longer.

I eat an easy breakfast it’s 8 whole large eggs and 7 oz chicken cubed 1/4 cup of low fat cheese shredded . Yes it’s a lot to eat at first but once your body gets used to it the protein intake is nuts and you will stay full

16:43 low kcal yes... but not in sugar if you convert that by %> Blueberries. 68 kcal and 10 grams of sugar per 100 grams. If you convert that as a % that = 85% if you then factor in the fibre it comes down to 71%. Hardly low in sugar. 😀

Try adding your eggs raw in smoothies. Make sure they're a high quality, though. Free range is what I prefer. 👊👊

My gf inadvertently makes great meals for lean bulking, with just a little input from me. She made an amazing dish with turkey sausage, bits of apples, pineapple sweet potato and rice on the side.
