There was a classical music channel that got a copyright takedown over a piece written in the late 17th century a couple of weeks ago. What was different this time was the fact that the channel didn't get the option to appeal the takedown. The copyright AI has been broken for a while, but this is a new low.

2:36 I had one channel deleted/banned out of 5, same email *BUT* 3 still remain now. The second channel was banned/deleted about 1 week later. I strongly believe they manually review each channel under the offending email and remove what they deem to be also in violation.

A couple of months ago KZbin deleted a video I had posted just to test the system, it was named "wildlife" and it featured 30 seconds of various animals in their natural environment with some background music, nothing else. Reason was: violation of child protection policy. WTF!

This is precisely why I never put "key words" in video descriptions, on top of that, I don't even have a use for doing that any more than learning how to edit the footage pre-upload or making custom thumbnails (the second of which I rarely do).

Sometimes nothing helps, even of you are in the right. This is the whole story. I'm out of good ideas. KZbin removed my main channel for its 3rd copyright strike. The rub is that the 3rd strike came from a film thats been in the public domain for 56 years. Even worse KZbin couldn't care less. I'm just burnt. I had started this channel as a side project and am now trying (in vein) to get it to be something thats even close to where my main channel was (34k subs). I know it's a small amount but it was huge to me. I for sure was pushing the copyright envelope theres no doubt. But it all can in at once on me - 2 & 1/2 strikes. As soon as that happened I reversed my engines 100%. I deleted extra content that I felt 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 be "bad" just to be sure. I wanted to ride out the 3 months & let those strikes fall off. I even went looking for content I knew was safe. I went to Public Domain Movies . net. This way I was sure to be safe & still have (maybe) some new content for my channel. After looking through a lot of old bad movies I never heard of I found one that I was surprised was there, Night of the Living Dead (1968). But I was being cautious. Just being on the site was not enough for me. I painstakingly combed the net to look into this. I found out everything about the movie including why it was in the public domain. So I obtained the movie & uploaded it. Within a few hours KZbin pulled the movie, gave my a copyright strike (putting me within the threshold of 3 strikes) & removed my channel. I went through every process for appeal, the strikes them selves as well as the channel removal. I dotted all my i's and crossed all my t's. Counter Notifications correctly filled out & I had the law on my side. None of it mattered. Everything was denied and my main channel of 10+ years was gone. They won't even address the fact the movie is in the public domain or why they felt it warranted a copyright strike.

My KZbin channel from 2006 with about 200k video views got deleted by JAGEX for copyright infringement. Funny now they allow RuneScape videos but back then, they did not. I am trying to motivate myself to get back into it.

These are true but all of this can back fire if certain people just report you just because or suddenly give you 3 copyright strikes even from ur old videos even after you had permission. youtube needs to fix the copyright policy instead of certain random people copyright ur stuff when its ur own content

That's true, people can just report you. But I've actually seen a decent success rate of people getting their channels back after they've been deleted, if youtube reviews the channel and no rules were broken

I post a lot of AM radio dx listening, and have had a few with music get copyright hits. They weren't deleted, and I didn't get actual account strikes, but I do wonder one thing: do they really think there is any monetary value in music videos that are so full of static and noise that the average person would say "oh that sounds so awesome, I'd pay for it?" 😮

Couldn't it be said that KZbin has a monopoly... and isn't that illegal in the United States? After all, who does KZbin compete with considering that they're attempting to shut down Tik Tok. Not to mention, that company (T&T) is in another Country, which leaves KZbin as the only company in the US.

I want to call BS on associated accounts, where if one of your alternative channels gets deleted, the main channel gets deleted as well. This is my main channel and I have 46 alternative channels under this one. At least 4 or 5 different alternative channels of mine have been terminated at any given time in the past before being unterminated within a day or so, and my main one is still up.

My KZbin channel got deleted because of 3 copyright strikes, I still don't know why it happend or what was copyright. They never specified. I posted edits and was just about to hit 500 subscribers, I spent so much time on that account and had it since I was 8. I dont think I can recover it or get everything back, its whatever I guess.

A few years ago one of my channels got deleted by KZbin because of violation of some rules. 😢In fact the channel recover and re -appear after one year of suspension. So be careful and don't do anything to violate YT rules.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Regarding videos about illegal drugs. I recently came across a KZbinr whose channel mostly dealt with illegal drugs and their effects on the body, even describing his own personal experiences with some of them. But in every one of his videos, he specifically tells users NOT to try any of the substances he discusses, and in many of them he also mentions that he spent 4 years in prison due to drug-related offenses. Clearly the channel is meant for educational purposes, and certainly NOT to promote the use of illegal drugs... but I still have to wonder how many of his viewers may ignore his warnings and decide they want to try the substances anyway after hearing him describe them. I think he's walking a fine line for sure regarding the permissibility of his content on KZbin.

I didn't get any 3 strikes but still my channel got deleted today. It says due to spam, deceptive acts etc. My videos where performing well and it showed content id claim on youtube has no impact on your video. They showed no warnings , what part went wrong. NOTHING. Will i get my channel back . I have sent an appeal today. Plz make a video on this .. there is only few videos about this

Could anyone tell me then why I dodnt got any warning and/or strikes?? I dont even know whst happened. I was gone (vacation) and as soon as I came back it just said: Banned

I meant to ask, promotion subs can account towards being monetized and towards like the silver button or plague whatever KZbin gives? It seems that way bc the promotion subs do count towards the monetized

I posted a video and showed my little brother filming me and it got taken down I post farm blog videos and he was in the tractor with me. that has a completely closed in cab.
