You still need to deal with what isn't handling it and the initial cause .Pitting edema is usually a blood flow problem that often points to the heart but it could be your kidneys liver or even prostate and most people watching this video are men over ,50 and most of them have enlarged prostate.

Jesse, thanks. Another great interview. I like your style and especially the questions you asked the way you conduct the interview. All your interviews are long but keep my interest on.

It's also about packing humans in high rise buildings in cities with not enough amenities or money to participate in amenities, or enough organised free amenities and not teaching wisdom. It's about advertising too and mixed messages.

John, while I've never read that we store uric acid in our fat, losing fat, especially rapidly, does seem to bring on some gout attacks in some people; not sure what the mechanism is. In mice - where almost all their cells do the same things as they do in humans - it has been observed that fat tissue actually makes uric acid. Not that it's storing it, but that it produces it and thus raises the blood level of uric acid. You can see the study I looked at by googling "Uric Acid Secretion from Adipose Tissue and Its Increase in Obesity." The more viseral fat - like in the stomach area and around our organs - that we have, the higher our uric acid blood levels are likely to be. So, losing fat is a good thing, with respect to high uric acid levels., whether or not it brings on gout attacks. "Close correlation between visceral fat accumulation and uric acid metabolism in healthy men" takes you to one such study.

The answer is no. Fructose cannot be stored anywhere in the body except the liver. That's why it is highly associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Uric acid causes joint inflammation. If you are losing fat you want to be aware that anything fat soluble could leach back out as you lose fat. This includes any heavy metals. So if you feel bad while losing fat it might be your body purging bad stuff. Per Rufus' reply Visceral fat not adipose is associated with uric acid.

So what can make our body to not produce high uric acid ?
@ericquek673 Жыл бұрын
It is unfortunate that Dr Perimutter gave wrong information from a biochemical perspective! Into the speech at 1.00 min he states : "Fructose is directly metabolize into uric acid" That is WRONG. Check out any standard Biochemistry textbook. The Right pathway is an " INDIRECT process through the purine synthesis. Fructose itself is not directly metabolized into uric acid. Instead, the metabolism of fructose can lead to an increase in the production of certain intermediates and precursors involved in the purine sythesis pathway, which ultimately results in the formation of uric acid. Take home message: Just because they are "well known" among internet users etc does not mean they are correct. Always be alert.
