@@andrew8168 Because losing a few hundred thousand potential holiday 2025 Switch1 sales is far less money than selling an extra 1.5 to 2 million Switch2s (at higher price) per month for two or three more months in 2025. The volume of sales and revenue potentially lost in 2024 vs earned with extra months in 2025 isn't even close. So yes, absolutely jeopardize a small number of holiday sales rather than jeopardize a larger number of 2025 sales. I can't figure out why people keep harping on protecting a small number of holiday sales should be the goal instead of making more money. I mean, are people really thinking they're going to sell many more Switch1s this holiday than they will for three or four extra months of Switch2 sales in 2025? Let's say 5-7 million Switch2s with an extra three month window in 2025. At $100-$150 extra per unit, that means an early reveal has to cost Nintendo 7-9 million Switch1s this holiday for it to not pan out. I don't think they have 7 million sales TOTAL this season, let alone sales that would be lost (which is probably closer to a half million.) If Nintendo's production chain is capable of supplying enough units for a spring release so they can start raking in all that cash, they'll give up some of the holiday money to make a lot more money earlier in 2025. And to do that, they'd need to announce soon or risk factory leaks that spoil their messaging. If we don't get a reveal until January, its not because they were protecting any holiday sales. Its because their production won't be starting until then and the console wouldn't be releasing until summertime. Small win for holiday 2024, but it means less new consoles sales then they could have made in 2025, and fewer months to release a strong lineup to make holiday 2025 sales even better.

Nintendo's next financial report will be on November 5th, and the console is probably projected to launch sometime in April 2025 due to a late announcement, so we could see a Swtich 2 reveal sometime next week, but most definitely the first week in November. If for whatever reason after November 5th and we still don't have a Switch 2 reveal, idk what to tell y'all

The coloured buttons don't work for minimalist mass appeal, plus for sideways joy-con use it isn't conducive. I think these colours in games are mainly for user friendly operations. Otherwise, the colours would already be altered when you are using JoyCons sideways, without the letters.

I will just say this , people do want switch 2 , we all want nintendo to reveal the next system soon so that we can enjoy all the good games. My only problem is that when content creators make switch 2 content its not fun it feels churned out, soulless and mandated to create income and views. I understand it maybe your sole source of income but at the end of the day thats what people are getting sick of and is the source of impatience and frustration around switch 2. I think personally if it is indeed the case switch 2 is not revealed this year obviously content creators will keep making content that's perfectly fine , but i think it'll be a good 2 months to kind of allow content creators to step back and see how oversaturated,boring and soulless content creation around nintendo has become so that in 2025 at least some content in the algorithm will feel refreshing and fun again instead of the same old (even if switch 2 STILL hasn't been revealed yet). I just think even though it maybe doesn't garner views i much prefer original topics , game reviews and maybe livestreams playing though games to maybe help with the income side of youtube. While I don't hate the idea of the console just being called "Nintendo Switch 2", I feel like not calling it the "Super Nintendo Switch" is a missed opportunity to pull from the nomenclature of old. It's a direct successor of the outgoing model. In a world of Playstation just adding a number to the next console in the series, and Nintendo never having done that, it would feel a bit odd seeing them go that direction.

With the amount of leaked games and other stuff going on recently I expect Nintendo is closing ranks even more and unlikely to be giving any hints whatsoever. They will probably be more guarded than ever over information so don’t expect any credible “leaks or rumours” to be coming out now. I don’t blame them either, it’s getting ridiculous and people need to chill tf out and stop being so impatient. Even though I’ve been fine with waiting and still am, I am surprised that it hasn’t been shown in September or October as there were signs pointing to it but anything said about it now is just guessing and made up. They are obviously on a completely different timeline to what people are expecting with the new console and all we know for a fact is that they plan to show it before the end of March next year, so that’s good enough for me.
