Thanks for this video. I am have the very best time with my AVP!!! I really don’t understand the haters. Ok, the price is high. But they always are on new tech (do we remember how much Blu-ray players were to begin with?) I literally wake up early to spend time in the headset. When my other half goes to sleep, I jump into the headset! These videos helping us with new apps is helpful- thank you!

What else people aren’t talking about is the productivity apps, specifically Keynote: OMG. Keynote totally comes together in providing a fully productive spatial environment including a board room or theatre to rehearse your presentation. It’s helped me INCREDIBLY to prepare and present an interactive talk that is well-accepted on ‘live’ stage.

Is the absence of controllers and their haptic feedback a disadvantage or an advantage. I’m an all in Apple guy, but like using controllers while playing Quest games. Thanks.

You can use Xbox, PS5, Switch controllers but it’s definitely not the same as the Quest controllers. Definitely interested in seeing what happens with the controller situation as things evolve.

Hey Andru.... What do you think the Nvidia Omniverse integration could mean for regular consumer users? (Spatial Personas, maybe?)
@Andru6 ай бұрын
Oh I think we will see Spatial Personas for sure. I'm not a developer, so sometimes it's hard for me to imagine what is truly possible with the tools available vs what is just fantasy. NVIDIA is on fire though and I think their tech is going to allow for some very cool stuff in the near future.

I have one and was disappointed by the lack of content. I assumed a native Netflix app would be available since Netflix is on just about everything. It's a hard sell or recommendation until some killer apps justify it. Good to see some workaround apps to access desired content, but would like to see more native app support soon. Went back to my Meta Quest 3

Split screen , immersishare i.e. (tik tok for spatial photos and videos ) , and so much more apps now that are making this thing hard to put down at all super excited for the future!!

Great video. Incredible apps. It seems like all the energy in tech KZbin is focused on making the AVP seem as unremarkable, uncomfortable and misguided as possible. It reminds me of the very beginning of the M1 devices release. It was TRASHED by some very big channels and the smaller ones quickly fell in line. Where that battered, mocked, unoptimized and expensive device stands today is because of channels like yours that continued quietly showing what tech CAN do, not just what it can’t. Have you seen the video from the guy who discovered a “glitch” in Environments? Instead of only standing in place and turning 360, he discovered a trick to go farther into the lake or clouds for a different viewpoint. Some were pixelated but the one with the lake was fascinating. He even discovered something that could be a cabin in the woods! I’ll describe it first because sometimes my entire comment will not post if I link another channel. I’ll put it in a second comment. The trick was to walk a few steps into the Environment even though the pass through quickly kicks in, lift it up off your eyes for a second, then put the goggles back over your eyes and you should be farther into the environment.
@Andru6 ай бұрын
Oh wow that sounds incredible! I am gonna try to see if I can replicate that in the environments myself! And yeah, sometimes it feels like there's an agenda, or that people are just jaded and too focused on things that the average person just doesn't care about. I find it odd that so many say "Vision Pro doesn't have any apps" when there are over 1100 of them in the App Store today, less than 2 months after it launched.
@sharonb.91286 ай бұрын
@@Andru yep, the pessimism began to feel orchestrated and over the top for such advanced and fully developed first generation device. Yes, try it. The guy wasn’t sure if it was just his device or all of them that could do it. I put his info in another comment just in case it’s deleted but it looks like it’s still there. Give me a thumbs up so I’ll know if it works if you have time.

@@VoltX_1 While those with no issues with discretionary spending have jumped at the first generation Vision Pro, the much larger consumer base, those who buy iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watches will wait for more use cases beyond what so far has been perceived as entertainment. Also the price is way out of reach for many, especially when some have reported the front cracking on their $3,500 device. Lower cost, more durable and lighter models will expand the Vision Pro consumer base over time, no doubt. But as of 3/2024, there doesn’t seem to be a demonstration of broad use case other than its enovative and cool.
