Dang, that's a question haha. They have different use cases I think. Maecker is great because you don't need to mess around with swapping the batteries, but this is great too if you already have rechargeable batteries and don't mind swapping them out. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either set, they both are designed nicely and have comfy straps compared to other silicone grips. It's just a matter of how you want to charge it up.

What makes these better than the improved non-pro version? All I see is the annoying rubber cord dangling around at the bottom. If you want that, you can just slide the default cord through the bottom hole in the non-pro version. This just seems like an inferior product. Why make this? PS: I own the improved non-pro grips and they're great.

The improved ones are great, as long as they have a locking mechanism to keep the controller from flying out. These grips have a more comfortable ergonomic strap, which fits my hands much better with the rear strap placed further back (mentioned in the video), and the material is much softer (also mentioned in the video) The strap itself is also easier to adjust with the quick release button to loosen it, rather than dealing with the micro adjustments sometimes needed with velcro - especially when sharing the Quest with others. I hope this helps 👍
