So crazy how far they've come over the years. It just goes to show if you live your life as best you can and allow yourself to be open to new experiences, there's no telling where you'll end up and what you'll be doing. They went from teaching to teaching in a whole new country, to vlogging, to Kpop, to food blogging and traveling. Sometimes I wonder if/when a major channel will pick them up for their own show- couples are a major hit on television shows, and the fact that these two have such a natural/pure love and chemistry together means it would be a sincere thing to watch and enjoy. Part of me would love to see that, but another part of me loves the creative control and the more natural setting of what they're doing now. Regardless of where life takes them next, I will happily watch and support them.

omg i've had this in Okinawa! it was one of the most heavenly experiences, suddenly all my commitment issues went away because i could eat this every meal of the day. wasn't much of a wait in Okinawa, though! probably less than 30mins, and we dined next to the gorgeous gorgeous Okinawan sea. pure bliss!

I listened to your podcast about your encounter with someone who later called Simon a jerk or something later. I’m so sorry that happened, but I guess there will always be people who can’t empathize or are considerate of other people. I love and admire you guys so much. I have back pains and pains too regularly and it just strikes me with awe how you, Martina, carry yourself and keep going on, despite what’s going on for you physically and what not. this looks like an île flottante, but if you had mixed the crème anglaise with the actual île (egg white bitten like a meringue and cooked in milk) it really makes me think of that ^^

I just looked it up, because I didn't know it could be called floating swans, and yes it's the same thing (except that the floating swans are apparently made to look like swans, but I've never see it like that for île flottantes (that's what we call it in french). It's fluffy and sweet. ^^ not that hard to make if you have the patience to make crème anglais (vanilla custard) yourself...you can still buy it pre-made in the store though and then you just have to do the egg white part! then you can add some liquid caramel on it and yum! :D
