Some people tend to forget in the year 2000 they released some great games. This, Tekken Tag Tournament, Zelda: Majora's Mask, Perfect Dark, etc.

Near impossible to combo ServBot... Cammy went ghost insane mode with pinpoint precision. BB Hood WAS a full on MASTERPIECE.

Yea and too bad the cry babies of today ended technical games like this. Now we have permanent easy mode for all Capcom games like street fight 5 and marvel vs Capcom infinity 🤮

If the combos and techniques are too inconsistent for the vast majority of competitive players to consistently hit them, then what’s the point of them even being in the game? Like imagine the mvc2 meta if people could actually do any of the shit dhalsim is technically capable of in this game. A game being “hard” does not instantly make it better, or even deeper. CvS2 roll cancel or even the short lived SFV Oro fastfall are greats examples of techniques that are executionally demanding but not so much so that it limited their use, and they made the actual in-game meta deeper and more interesting. That’s the type of shit we should be talking about wanting back in fighting games, not basic shit randomly being made harder just to make you feel more special.

⁠@@YaBoiBigSmoke147game being hard doesn't automatically make it better but it gives a 20+ year old game like this more longevity as people can explore the limits of the combo system. many games give you no advanced routes meaning there's no exploring everything is just bnb and it gets very boring

Joo's MvC2 combos have been on youtube for over a decade now. I always watch them every few weeks just because they're so amazing. also, yes, the Akuma throw on Blackheart only works on Blackheart. It has been a thing since MSHvSF, but those characters were obviously removed in MvC1.

Pulling combos on servbot and roll is crazy. It's easy to pull conbos on bigger characters but the cammy one on servbot is crazy.

6:51 - I think the reason he's able to do this is the suki cancel. Since iron gief is attacking, Akuma can block. So he's super jump cancelling his moves and cancelling it into a block to reset the recovery. A person simply can't be that fast, but it's fucking amazing seeing it in action like that

It says on his channel that they primarily use tool assisted to get the combos. So it's not all human but majority is so that's crazy nontheless

No he’s right about Suki cancel. Some of these combos only can work because of Guile flash kick glitch. If anyone wants to search for the old DJB-13 MvC2 video, they’re worth a watch also, especially for dhalsim.

Man, I miss this style of play. Justin nailed it that before tourney play seen now, back in the arcades, it was all about styling on your opponent with these combos. Especially when the game came out on May/June-ish 2000 in the States

Infinite combos was an art form in my time. Back in 98, 99 to 2000 I've seen many Marvel Masters come and ago. Many of us Ancient Ones venturing into the age of 40 are still around sleeping in the demiurge waiting to return to take over.

Oh my God I'd do anything 😢. This is my favorite fighting game of all time, but high level play is basically unwatchable unless you NEVER tire of storm/sentinel teams and mirror matches. It's a shame this game is so unbalanced, I'd love to see more tournaments where top tiers are banned, but then people would just go to the next highest placements on the list 😭.

I never seen most of those combos. The technically of this game definitely makes it a gem. I see why this is still to this day the greatest 2D fighting game of all time. Combine that with a slamming soundtrack, instant classic

I notice that most of Joo's featured videos that Justin plays were all Capcom characters and it's amazing to see combos that were never before seen yet some can do TOD combos. Like what Nick Fury said, you tried everthing but you haven't tried them all. And I mean ALL of them. On the side note, if he can do combos in a real online game I'll be impressed.

3:38 That's the combo that I was talking about with Chun Li. She actually Has a triple jump air combo that can be linked into other combos. I was always wondering why I never see you do it but I remember in another video you said she is low tier... I suspect this is an arcade version i'm wondering how they recorded it back in the day because some of this is nearly impossible for the PS2 version, unless it Dreamcast. PS2 version had too many glitches that caused you to do less dmg and confirms were only capable for some of these if you mashed really fast. A lot of normals had the super combo Mash meter but only worked whole doing a combo.

Same way as TAS creators helped regular runners achieve world records by pushing futher and further the limits. I sugest the "summoning salt" chanel where the guy adresses the topic of the human limit of what can o cant be done in a video game (mario bros in this case). Applied to marvel (or fgs in general) it is so interesting to think about it in terms of what strategies were available back in the day and the insane combos shown here throgh years of research. my favourite combos in particular are the ones gill does. she just looks and moves awesone in this game. I'm a big fan from argentina

I can do some chun-li combos but not live because im not from US lol but back in teh day I used to do some different combos that no one did with her at least but are more execution friendly. Setups with solo launcher air to groudn then super is pretty consistent and there are some solo infinites yada yada but mostly high excecution and relies a bit on the size of the enemies as well. Btw there are some things that I knew too that Chun-li Stomp unblocable setups haha.... but yeah.
