Anybody buried alive. Also, the Donner Party tragedy was pretty nightmarish. The prolonged suffering of the pioneers - starving, freezing, exhausting treks through both desert and chest high snow - was worse than having to eat dead people.

The majority of these are legitimate explanations and/or theories that are great examples of how the scientific method and modern research processes help us to understand the universe. However, the bit about the "Paulding Light" is still unsubstantiated. The majority of eyewitnesses who have seen the Paulding Light, and were also shown the data and evidence collected by the University students, do not agree with their findings (myself included). The instances of the light that were captured and studied by the researchers didn't look like/ didn't match up with a lot of the first-hand accounts, and large numbers of witnesses who are still alive stated that it didn't look like what they saw. In addition, the light first appeared in 1966; while this is well past the beginning of motor vehicles becoming commonplace amongst Americans, the area actually has pretty solid data recording ownership and traffic frequency within the area. The number and sheer frequency of reports of the light doesn't line up with that data. While I'm personally not going to make any claims of certainty as to what causes it, I and a lot of other witnesses do not feel that their explanation of "vehicle lights being refracted" sufficiently explained what is causing the phenomena. While I'm not willing to sit here and say, "it's a ghost!!", I and many other witnesses are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that the light we saw, and the light that the students claimed was the Paulding Light, were not the same. I wholeheartedly recommend that people take the trip and check out the light themselves, then check out the data presented by the University researchers, and make up your own mind.

What you failed to mention in the Hinterkifeck murders... They had a maid prior to the murders who kept telling the family that she heard "ghost" in the Attic. Obviously they didn't believe her, so she quit. The day after quitting they hired the other maid. Who was found murdered along with the rest of the family.

Extra hand and "alien in the photo" have been debunked like a decade ago. There was another friend behind the kids who was not visible in the photo, and the "alien" turned out to be the mother with her back to the camera. She has the same floral dress she has in all the previous photos. Sorry to rain on your parade, as the rest of the video is amazing. Well done.

With what we know about The Blitz, and the fact that rationing of meat didn't end until 1954, it genuinely was kinder to have your pet put to sleep if you didn't have the means of getting them to the countryside. We all know how the majority of pets cannot handle fireworks well so imagine their terror at the sound of bombs dropping and buildings collapsing. Yes, it would devastate me to do that but as sure as eggs is eggs I wouldn't want them to suffer through that! It's the responsibility of a pet owner to put their needs above your feelings even if it is devastating to imagine. ETA: fixed spelling errors.

One letter presented to the project after the death of the loved one who kept all her WWII correspondence someone ate their German Shepherd because they couldn't keep feeding them and because That German Dictator had one. They were going to just shoot it and bury it, which is heartbreaking in and of itself.

You couldn't even show any pertinent images or video on the Lady Be Good segment? It was a B-24, not an SBD or TBF, had nothing to do with a Japanese aircraft carrier, and there are TONS of images and film of it, the wreckage, and the artifacts from the crew available. Also, it did NOT "get lost in a sandstorm and the crew ejected", it overflew the base in the middle of the night on the return from the raid, and the 'navigator' they had on board was so useless that he spent the whole flight doodling in his logbook instead of doing his job, had no idea where they were, and even hundreds of miles into the Sahara was convinced they were still over the Mediterranean, so the crew bailed when they ran out of gas because they figured they would float at sea until rescue found them. Instead they roughly guessed at where the nearest civilization was after the sun came up (and again got it wrong), and started walking across the desert with one canteen of water between them. They all succumbed to the elements over the next few days. The plane wasn't found until the 50s, and the crew were discovered a few at a time where they died over the following years.

The license plate number on the Archduke's car was a good one. Assuming that they had automobile registration so sufficiently advanced and organised in that part of the world in as early as 1914.There is the period photograph at 23 minutes, so that you might suppose that it is authentic. The only thing then being that it took 86 years for anyone at all to figure that the 1914 license plate number gave the subsequent Armistace date.

I saw mention of The Deadly Double board game ads in newspapers being mentioned in one of those books from the 1980s which covered quirky mysteries. It has since been discounted as waffle to nowhere, but, jeez, it was coded Intelligence. " Warning " in French, English, and German.
