I have a 2011 Cadillac CTS. It’s been very reliable and a joy to drive - after 300,000 Kilometers. No major maintenance issues, regular maintenance. It’s a very good car and I love it. My big issue is that GM no longer supplies replacement parts for these cars. I could keep this car for many more years, but maintaining it is becoming a problem. Recently the parking brake foot peddle failed and I’m forced to source a used part on eBay. Unacceptable. This car could go for many more years. I intend to keep it as long as possible as the new cars on the market are way over priced, and with gimmicky useless technology that will quickly become outdated and prone to failure. Let’s get back to simpler and ergonomic controls that actually work and don’t distract the driver by trying to figure out the touch screens!

Those who have money to buy their vehicles outright with cash, brand new.. ain't gonna be worried about that cars depreciation at all.. What's on their mind at the time of purchase is getting behind the wheel of the latest of whatever vehicle it maybe.. and being one of the 1st to flaunt the latest reg.. And then if they're the type to buy outright.. they ain't gonna keep it long enough for it to depreciate on them.. because the have the money ready to chop and change when they desire too..

KZbinrs need to realize that those who can afford those cars dont care about depreciation! Like, who in their right mind would buy a luxury product hoping it wont lose value? So plz guys stop

Cars can be investments, but I get your point-if you like a car, you'll buy it because you like it, not because it depreciates quickly. The message of this video is more for consumers who might have the money but aren't sure if it's a good purchase.

Now if you did the inverse usually The Toyota 4 Runner, the Jeep Wrangler and the Toyota Tacoma are almost always in the top 3 in resale value. Toyota did a good job building them, the Wrangler other than some electrical issues is reasonably reliable, but it has a cult following.

Agreed. Toyotas period usually have great resale value due to there reliability, they also have so of the fastest time on lot.

According to the captioning provided by the video, some of these car Appreciate and Depreciate in the same sentence. That is the captioning provided on screen, by the video. My Firefox captioning does not do that. HEY! Watch your videos before you publish them!!
