As an American who has never left the U.S., with every travel segment I become further enlightened in my outlook regarding Africa. Zimbabwe is one of the safest travel destinations in the world. The cities are cosmopolitan and people are very friendly and welcoming. Outside of the cities, rural folk live a more simple traditional lifestyle and are traditionally very humble, hospitable. I am Zimbabwean and a grandmother and three years ago, walked 1000km through rural Zimbabwe mostly alone. Never did I feel unsafe, unwelcome or threatened in any way. There is a you tube post from an American man called Zimbabwe verses America or something like that. If you can find it, you will get a less biased picture.

The Zimbabwe people are so friendly! The tea plantations are absolutely magnificent! There is seriously no doubt in my mind that the Honda CRF 250 L is a serious "CLASS LEADER" and it's reliability, durability and its all round spunk is being well showcased by Itchy Boots in Africa and all over the world in this best Epic Season 5!
@ian-c.013 жыл бұрын
So much more capable than the over rated Enfield that she was using before, sure you can do this type of trip on many different types of bikes but why would you when there are bikes like the CRF250 that can do it so easily !
@phantomforester93373 жыл бұрын
@@ian-c.01 The Enfield was built in the country she bought it in, for half the price she would have paid in Europe. Spare parts and expert service were available where she was riding. It made perfect sense for her to buy it there. Simple basic, proven--it worked for exploration. Honda makes good bikes, but doesn't support its old bikes--it wants you to buy new ones. When her Honda gets old, she will have to discard it for riding, however much she gets attached to it. A pity--she's making memories for a lifetime with it. But the Enfield was not overrated for the price she paid. And it will still probably be in production decades from now, with a functioning support infrastructure. "Underrated" is more like it.
@ian-c.013 жыл бұрын
@@phantomforester9337 The Honda doesn't need spare parts or experts to service it, just a cheap filter and oil change every few thousand miles and a new chain once in a while and it will keep going for 15 years and then only require new wheel bearings. As I remember she had lots of things go wrong with the Enfields and needed many parts to be sent over including a clutch, headstock bearings and wheel bearings plus an oil pump ! Those are not the type of things you should be replacing on a 2yr old bike ! Cheap bikes are cheap for a reason, the Honda was second hand and probably still cost more than a new Enfield but I'd take a used Honda over a new Enfield any day !
@phantomforester93373 жыл бұрын
@@ian-c.01 Um-hmm. Actually, there are things that need replacing on a brand-new bike. It was good that she bought a used bike that had been broken in and shaken down. But she would be wise to dispose of it before it becomes obsolete to Honda. It's a lot of fun to have an old Honda break down and not be able to get spare parts. That's a bit too much adventure. It also is even more fun to find one part on a bike does three different things, and nothing works without it. You have to tear down the bike to get to it. And then you can't get the part. The bike she chose is a very good model, which works as long as it works. But the old-school Enfield was made of parts that don't do multiple jobs--you can work around a missing part here and there, like an old Harley. And speaking of Harley, for all the issues with the Motor Company, they back their bikes, whenever made. Eventually, everything breaks--spare parts will be needed at some point. Agreed, though--things like an oil pump shouldn't be breaking. But at least the bike was fixable.

Dang it. I was really hoping for a 10 second tour of that '36 Dodge. So cool.

So thst's what it was! I was wonderingif it was a US made car but maybe from the 1940's. It seemed to be in a nice restored condition.

@@jfv65 It took me a while to figure it out after the last episode. I thought it was an ancient Morris Minor or something but then I saw the ram on the front of it. That narrowed it down a lot.

How beautiful is that! You certainly weren’t riding alone either all the love you got from the Zimbabwean ‘s. Just so heartwarming.❤

One of these episodes 81, 82 and 83 made me discover Itchy Boots channel but the painful thing is that I can't recall which exact one! Since then, I've never missed an episode. Even when I was on vacation in Uganda, I never missed her episodes on a smart tv which displayed better than my hand held gargets. I'm getting so lucky day by day since I've watched over 80% of her channel. Thx Noraly❤🙏

I can see it now: Itchy Boots: The Video Game. Trying to avoid the city street pedestrians looked like video game action! As did the rugged ride in the beautiful countryside. Another great vlog, well-paced and presented. Thanks!

Yes, while others are more obviously creating a vlog, and playing to the camera, Noraly is treating the camera like another person who she is on a video call with. It's VERY engaging! 🙂👍

@@continuum.explorer That's a very apt analogy; her communication skills work well even on video.

Prachtig Noraly, wat een mooie natuur, en bergen zo'n mooi gebied, moeilijke wegen om op te rijden met Savanah. En wat een vriendelijk volk, het is echt genieten en dan die mooie groen heuvels cool! Mooie video!
