Speaking of Klay I could be WRONG about this but given the depth of this dallas mavericks ROSTER it might reduce the PRESSURE for him to perform as early as possible. I know 2 years off the court is a long time for an NBA player but maybe an organizational change is what he needed to take as much time as he needs to get to where he would have been by EFFICIENTLY prioritising his workout schedules over the course of the season without having to worry TOO much about the TEAM'S record as time goes by so given the new TEAMMATE ROSTER that he now has there is a possibility that the 2 year recovery HIATUS he went through impacted him but didn't stop him.

As a Mavs fan, Gafford's contribution to the team this yr off the bench has been insane, he lowkey in 6MOTY convos. @MrE_ say what you want but the Mavs just went to the Finals last year on the strength of Luka playing PG. I don't understand why people think for the Mavs to get better that Luka needs to not have the ball. He's taken 2 teams to the WCF in the last 3 years and both teams were completely different. Luka averages damn near 10ast per game and people think he doesn't pass the ball. Luka will win a championship with Kyrie as the 2nd best player on the team real soon. Luka is inevitable.

@Velveteenvision5 күн бұрын
I agree about Grimes starting over Klay
@dreamvveaver5 күн бұрын
No that would be a really bad idea it would be a problem in the locker room and could make their chemistry worse. You know they signed Klay with a promise of him being a starter right and Klay is one of those players that can be affected by their emotions heck he doesn't get his confidence back yet and you want him to get bench when he is already playing decent while Mavs is still winning. You see it doesn't matter whether Grimes becomes a starter or on the bench what matters is giving him more minutes and touches while on the other hand if you want the best version of Klay you need him as a starter. First to get his confidence back, second is because Klay doesn't fit the 2nd unit that usually plays with Kyrie 6mins in the first quarter because Kyrie likes to play at a fast pace while Klay fits more with Luka's playstyle and you can notice it because Klay with Kyrie just averages 9pts on horrible efficiency while Klay with Luka is averaging 15 pts averaging 38% on three. And lastly Klay might not be hitting his shots but he still had a huge impact like his gravity due to being a 3pt threat heck in the grizzlies game they got Bane glued to him despite not hitting his shots and Bane is a good defender so it makes guys like PJ and even Lively at times open leading to Klay having one of the highest plus minus in Mavs despite missing 4 games.
