When you were on your "ground hold" I was thinking that that eye looked red. The white of your eye doesn't look red so thinking not Pink Eye. If it is a Stye, it could get bigger but applying hot compresses will help. I know you wear glasses but do you wear contacts as when I did my eye looked similar to that...actually felt bruised. Hot compresses will help in that case too. Sorry you have been having some rough trips when some fecal challenged individuals!! Big hugs to Buddy and Elenor!!
