I only use mellona here but uh guess I’ll hold off building my ddr until patch goes thru to see how he’s played

Underwhelming, they need to address the ones who are unused like ml haste.

@@elapsed5943 i think DDR will be good he has a strip but you will want ML choux or APoc with him for injury

I think DDR's new kit is pretty nice. Can be built more like an opener with the full team sleep than giving everyone pest. You could also stick to counter set to keep stacking venom+detonate+sleep. All in all feels more like a control unit with chip dmg than a slow build up nuker. I'm not sure if he "needs" a injury unit rather he just really benefits from one. I'm just not sure with venom being detonated immediately from everyone how much faster/slower we build up injury since now we have less to worry about cleansing and immunity. Also with the sleep buff , S3 turn one makes evasion units vulnerable to him since it is a non-atk skill.

due to the counter sure, yes. depends though on how well built each unit is but i do this LHC is stronger yes

Late video, xD. Personally im fine with it. Ofc I wanted more changes, but im not surprised we are getting few because part of the balance work was likely in the awakening system which was cancelled. So we will prob get a bigger one next time. I dont agree with people's logic that all adjustments to units that are currently fine should be entirely ignored until lesser used units are buffed. Units in need of changes to fit into the meta often require more time and closer scrutiny while units well established are easier to make basic refinements. That being said, in regards to the mellona changes. Top players would draft mellona with a book and soulburn S3 for 100% uptime and one turn downtime on S3. If you didnt have book, it felt strange because she basically didnt have a real soulburn. The S3 damage buff is not really a "buff", but a QoL adjustment because it gained higher damage if mellona had a buff, but now it should be about equal even without being buffed. Mellona now being able to S2 more frequently against aoe is fantastic though. For DDR, im mixed because I cant enjoy the satisfying S3 booms, but I think it is a positive change. DDR really needed the strip. Also, while his own raw damage potential is lowered, venoms are detonated immediately after every turn, so there is no longer a risk to them being removed and it basically adds a fairly reliable 10% max hp damage to everyone as long as they dont have immunity and high resistance. Overall, this reigns back the back end damage and makes him consistent throughout.

yeah i think Mellona should be better on lifesteal now too, and ddr needs a good injury unit with him for sure
