There’s also a new fusion that only takes any two fiends/zombies in the Animation Chronicle that’s an extra normal summon, and is lvl 6. While in the GY it banishes itself and adds a lvl 4 or lower zombie/fiend from GY. So you make him with link 2, get your additional normal, make Beatrice with him, detach him and send ash blossom, use his effect to add back ash blossom (:

@@coulterbaker4663 Yeah but the next best rank 6 to make with this engine would be ceaser which would make the engine no longer generically combo into literally everything. Fiendsmith using Beatrice to send poplar/ash, samsara lotus, or whatever you main combo starter is to grave to seamlessly integrate the engine into combo starters for your archetype is quite stupid. Some people were also testing the rainbow bridge trap because for the price of running 2 bricks in the deck, fiendsmith can 1 card combo into setting any field spell, which would make it a 1 card combo starter in decks like yubel and tenpai.

Honestly excited to try the fiendsmiths in chimera seems pretty crazy in it since if you draw the fabled and nightmare apprentice you trigger the fabled when you special the apprentice plus if your desprate to get into chimera plays then you can fusion summon the berfomet fusion with the link 2 if you have a beast or illusion in grave since it only says you have to fusion summon a fiend and doesnt specify light fiend. And berfomet fusion is also a lvl 6 fiend.

There’s a combo I saw with Fiendsmith and Beatrice that dumps transaction rollback and the mayakashi trap that basically turns off special summoning for your opponent for the turn.

I’m interested in a deck list because Fiendsmith, Snake-Eyes, and Millenium seems very engine heavy with very little space for non-engine. The fiendsmith/snake eye package initially look the best to me. Being able to make a 3 mat apollousa without going into the snake eye lines then bringing out Number 38 for protection against a spell and trap.

My Ancient Warriors could use some light fiends all of a sudden. Also Majesty's Fiend seems strangely cheap at the moment after seeing those. Not sure how well it will go with them, but I am sure there is a line of play where it is searched and summoned as the normal summon at the end of turn one to skip the opponent's turn then have some effect to negate it and use it as extra deck fodder.

Can't wait for fiendsmiths. I do think Beatrice might get a pre-emptive ban unironically because of how insane the combo is. But i'm playing this in full gas lightsworn/melodious/fiendsmith when it comes out and it's going to be so insane even without beatrice because Lightsworn Weiss is a light fiend. Fiendsmiths gives this deck everything it needs

The problem with D Barrier is that it was made before link summoning, so it doesn't have links in the card text. The card needs to either be reprinted to include links or outright banned.

Honestly! I like that we can do a lot of stuff with just a few cards. As long as players have agency in playing the game, I am down to having engines like Fiendsmith. What we all need is have the game not provide the easiest access to generic cards that can make your opponent have no say.

I don’t know if snake eyes will play fiendsmith. On one hand it’s busted and makes the end boards really good, on the other hand its more cards that lose to droll that require a looot of extra deck space when the hope harb combo stuff achieves just as good without the need for so many cards. Also makes snake eyes board lose to board breakers even harder like tactics so doubt it’ll change to this. Maybe it will when snake-eye gets hit since they’d get more starters with this engine but until then don’t think it’ll happen, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.

Dies irae can also negate your own card... so you can negate effect like muckraker (can't be used as link material the turn it is link summoned), or Promethean (you cannot SS monsters, except fire monsters), its pretty wild.

I know everyone is just gonna be using this to make Beatrice... but I just want the engine to be able to get High King Caesar out. So I can go back to not losing to Nibiru (the reason I also ran Baronne in my decks that could make it, until Konami STUPIDLY banned the card thinking "Baronne ban is gonna stop Snake-Eye. We did the right hit." NO YOU DIDN'T, KONAMI! THAT WAS NOT THE RIGHT HIT!!). Current reason why I had to shift decks to play Yubel and Memento.. to not lose to Nibiru that's running rampant again.
