Hi there- I’ve been reselling since about 1996, and still remember my 1st EBay sale back around 1999/2000! What I like about these videos is that even when you’ve been around awhile, there’s no way anyone can know it all. The market constantly changes, along with the various platforms. Back in the day I would go to auction previews, take pictures with an old digital camera, which I would then plug into my pc, upload & research prices from there, then go back the next day with a list of my target prices. So much simpler now in that regard but also a lot more competition. But like I always say, “no one knows everything & there’s still bargains to be had!” Thanks for a fun & informative video. :)

I love your laid back attitude. A lot of the other guys talk fast trying to get as much in as they can. I always check out bibles, I found a Army bible which sells for $150-200 I bought for $1. I will start selling next month and work on turning my garage into Ebay Central. Wish me luck, I live in a rural area and it's hard to find items to sell.

I 100% agree with you. The craziness in my basement made my boyfriend twirl his eyes at my ebay business over the last 2 years. I am part time at this because I have a full time job....and when I showed him Ive made 30,000 so far this year hes slowly starting to see the potential. So much, that he enjoys watching your videos and your passion. As we speak, he just left to go to our local thrift store. Hes not sure what niche to do, as he travels extensively for work and wants to pick up things that he can travel with. Or, he may just do this when hes home during the summer time. I already know that he will be buying things and I will just list and ship it for him. Teamwork makes the dream work! Thanks for your videos!

I see a lot of sellers do free returns and returns are what keep me from opening a store on eBay. Not only do I really dread the thought of dealing with returns but I honestly don’t know how sellers don’t lose a significant amount of money by offering free returns. People seem to be getting ever more challenging to please and I think accepting returns, especially at no cost to the buyer, would only make it even easier for them to be excessively picky and would cause even more returns and loss of revenue. What are your thoughts on returns? Good deal or risky idea? Free or buyer pays to ship back?
@goldenstatepicker3 жыл бұрын
I have no returns set. That only means if they change their minds. If it is damaged of course I take it back. What you do is file a claim with FEDEX if it is a larger item. If the item is USPS good luck. Most people think no returns means no returns. Not on damaged items. It's always a COST OF DOING BUSINESS don't be afraid of them. Volume and our higher margins make up for it.

use the EBAY app and upper right corner is a drop down menu with a list of conditions. Click the SOLDS button that will show you what items sold for. So, search for the item, hit the upper right drop down menu and hit SOLDS and you will see what that item has been selling for. EBAY APP on your phone, or ebay on your computer. On the computer it is lower left as you scroll down click solds that will bring them up on the computer.

I just found your channel and am learning a lot. I am new to eBay. My son used to work at Capitol Records and he gave me a couple of 100 CDs (mostly new but opened). Some are promos (also opened). I looked at what is selling and it seems like they aren't worth much. Actually, there is a major music store that sells them dirt cheap and I cannot compete. Should I sell them as a lot or give them to charity? What would you do? Most CDs are from 2008 and 2009 right before Capitol was bought out by Universal Music Corp. Thank you in advance.
@goldenstatepicker3 жыл бұрын
Depends on if you have all one GENRE. Like all rock. If its mixed hard to sell as a lot. If all the same genre I would lot them up. Check the weight for MEDIA MAIL shipping. Post office has a chart, so you don't mess up on that cost. Check and make sure you don't have any MASTER CD's etc. Those go for good money.
