I purchased a pair of these about 6 months ago and have since hiked about 200 to 300 miles in them. Comfortable, well built, stable platform, all great. The one thing that is needed is additional scuff protection over the toe. The trails I hike are often rocky, littered with large, sharp rocks and boulders that tend to scuff the toes. I had a cobbler laminate a piece of rubber on the toe so that I don't prematurely wear a hole through the toe. Something that Danner should do at the factory.

Yes they came out with the Leaf version almost a year after I got mine 😩 hopefully the Leaf is just as durable as the original version.

The Leaf are meant to be more sustainable in the long run because they are resold/repaired if the soles wear out. They have very similar features including Goretex waterproof and vibram traction

@@roamingthetrails that’s awesome I went ahead and ordered the 600 evos yesterday they should get here before the end of the week I’m excited. I’m gonna be using them for work as an Amazon delivery driver. I was using a pair of lowa renegade gtx that are awesome and super stable. But I wanted something with a little more bounce and the resoling sold me on them. Hopefully they fit. I sized down half a size from my sneaker size which is what the customer service rep told me to do.

Hi! Great review! Succint and informative! I was wondering if you had any comments on how insulated they are. Do they keep your feet warm in snowy conditions?

I’ve used these in snow a couple of times and I’ll be investing in snow boots. Anything under 32 degrees Fahrenheit was too cold for me even with my thickest wool socks, I get cold very easily especially my hands and feet. The grip was decent in snow but I still used micro spikes most of the time.

Thanks for watching 😊 I wipe them down with a clean towel and spray them with a waterproofing spray. I use the Danner brand spray but you can use any that’s made for nubuck/suede.

I love Danner boots!! I wear a size 9, but I like a slightly wider fit. Danger suggested I get the corresponding size for me in men’s, so I got the 8D men’s Rich Brown Mountain 600, it’s a perfect fit and so comfortable. This is a great review.

Awesome! Can I ask what size boot u have, ordered for my wife as a gift but she goes by the euro sizing some 37 is size 7 or sz 6 us depending on the American style shoe/boot :(((

You can’t go wrong with either option. Leather will likely be the most durable in the long run but I also like that suede is a little more comfortable and breathable, it’s also still very durable! I’ve had my sieve boots for two years and put them through a lot of terrain and they’re holding up great
