That's not true tho. He literally lost game 1 because he attacked with angel into a million card that kills him. Not to mention that he kept refusing to summom the token with his ship and instead preferring the 400 atk boost and only at the very end he realized the token will have the same stats as the ship. Tbh on the first episode I had kinda mixed feelings about the style of the intros. Specifically this "going back and forth between both deck profiles". It looks slick and all. But if it switches around too much, you might lose the actual point of the profile (aka getting across what the deck is supposed to do) Sure, the decks are simple enough now. But I have no idea what might await us and I'm sure there are some more complex jank decks at some point. You probably don't want to risk leaving behind newer people who don't know all these decks by heart. But seeing Farfa in the Supreme King armor convinced me that these intros are in fact ingenious.

I’ve been playing Edison format for over a decade since the format happened, that era of gameplay and deckbuilding is just my favorite. There are so many playable decks and options because cards weren’t so highly tuned and I love how all these years later there are still tons of cool interactions that I myself as a player am discovering. Ooo a rare gradius/spaceship showcase, neat! I actually worked it out in master duel during Tear format, utilizing Maxx C and unlimited Pot of Extravagance. It pairs well with Light Kaijus for removal, Gadgets for spamming, and Leeching the Light for ATK. Still jank and dies to any single handtraps, but it was a great time! The deck's unplayable with pot limits now.

16:08 I remember this exact interaction happening all the time when playing with my friends in '09-'10 ... but then I learned that it was wrong way too late. AFAIK Lyla needs to change position to destroy the card, which she can't do when banished. also the lack of royal oppression in farfa's deck (though its just a limitation of MD cardpool presumably) makes it way worse. a key interaction of the deck was the ships summoning the tokens during the damage step so oppression is one-sided.

Oh man, love me some classic jank, especially Dark Gaia. Some of my favorites were in Eternal Duelist Soul. Maha Vailo equip beatdown and DMG reanimator. Was Painful Choice showing 3 dark magicians and 2 Dark Magician Girl's optimal? Heck no, but it sure was funny.

Yeah Hamster/Ryko/Caius is very good in Edison, Vayu Turbo one of the meta decks plays it. Also Prisma Dark Calling decks have had moderate success in online tournaments at least. This Rock Stun Dark Calling Deck might honestly be one of the most legit of the unexplored and underrepresented decks in Edison right now.

Thank god this series doesn't try to cover all of yugioh's jank decks in chronological order, I've appreciated prog, history of ygo and jj but it feelt a bit bad being "stuck" in a bad couple of formats/years and having to go through them just because. If cimo and gage ever do a prog season 3 I'd really love it if they had a selection of packs, not even necessarily in chronological order, just to make the series feel much more fresh. It could also spark a lot of people to try and do their own "prog season 3" with the packs that cimo and gage are going through, following them along. Or hell even do their own "prog". Pretty much I'm happy we aren't bound by strict chronological order, and I wish more content creators would embrace it

Here is an idea for a series 1 player will play meta decks at their full power selected from a wheel, the other(s) must conctruct a Jank deck to defeat it For example, lets say Centurion is the meta deck, then the jank deck can be a Jinzo Deck, cause they become traps The Jank player can have the freedom of using a limited format while the meta player must have a list that is consistent with that time ban list 1 of the options of the wheel tough is free form, where the player is free to construct a deck without limit, no ban, limit, semi, or anything like that, this is just for fun to see who can make the most disgusting deck of all times

For the love of god have earthbound immortal cppac apu (whale) turbo via hardened armed dragon as a deck Field spell unneeded, wont be popped by its own effect, put it in defense and your opponent has no battle phase. Burn for 1200 a turn. It's hilariously bad but nasty if it gets off
