So, you guys made the "When you think of yugioh as edutainment" joke, but according to my elementary school teachers, the kids who did play yugioh consistently scored higher on math tests from like kindergarten to 2nd grade. It had a tangible effect on a lot of kids grades because it was genuinely a fun way to work with some (for kindergarteners) odd numbers for addition and subtraction.

1:02 I really think History of OCG could've been so much better if you guys had explored this concept more. I feel like every recreation of the OCG I've seen just shows the hypothetical best decks that no one actually ever played at the time. It definitely would've been harder to find lists, but it would've been worthwhile to gather up what people actually played at the time and dig deeper into the REAL progression of yugioh that I think got better represented in Histories of YGO & Jank.

I still think a good idea for a series is taking doo doo untiered decks and archetypes and time travelling them back in time to see if they can steamroll the best decks from older formats. Like the worst Edison deck against the best goat decks. Not a good example but that’s the idea. Only question is if you take the deck list exactly as it is in its natural time or whether you focus only on the archetypes and don’t allow any generic staples to travel back. Cause I imagine newer staples could win games on their own. It would be a fascinating showcase of just how intense powercreep is if some absolute garbage from a couple years later can wallop full power spyral, zoodiac, Pepe, etc.

Cool to see you two showing off some modern jank decks from these old formats! Just a couple of notes to provide context: -The Great White Deck is actually from a format using both LOB and the starter decks so y'all are both half right on that front. The reason why the deck is played in that format is because 1800 is the max attack on a level 4 monster, so being able to play more of them is pretty decent. -The Exodia deck actually managed to win a Critter tournament when it was first discovered, but unfortunately shifts in the meta have made it a lot less viable. Funnily enough, the current best deck of the format sounds like it would be a jank deck as it uses Muka Muka to out-aggro the opponent. Looking forward to seeing what decks y'all feature next!

Did you just steal Cimo's series? I remember Cimo made a post saying he was going to reboot Jank in a tournament style like this and was asking for jank deck submissions. Farfa also made a comment saying someone else was supposed to be the primary choice towards the start of the video. I looked back for the post and it was indeed going to be called the same "King of Jank". Guess Cimo backed out and let MBT start with Farfa.

Would love to see this series pickup at random points in time instead of it being linear :) splash in a little 2020 Myutant vs Ogdoadic or something truly one of a kind.
