But when i first Mantronix performed here in Denver he was doing music by himself. I told myself i have to do that. The first song we did 1985 I used the bassline from the song called Ghost town by the ska group The specials check it out then you see how i got my music style.

Wow, I remember this happening that very day this happened. I was there visiting my girlfriend at that time. She stayed on the east side of Denver and yes, Bloods & Crips was just like LA back in the 90s . so don’t get it twisted. I was there when this shooting happened. I remember the Hispanic bloods. Talking mess as we was walking in. Spinz records was owned by some crips back then. We had to get down on the floor. Dude got shot in the arm. They was bussing like 5 to 6 shots at least. Brotha Lyng hung abulm had dropped that day. Season of the Sicness.. it took forever for the paramedics to arrive. Thought dude was gonna bleed to death. But he was ok. They took off running on foot. Shit was crazy. But I love my second my Denver was my old stomping grounds.
