Liked the video, still learning and researching to be safe when we decide the truck and trailer combo we want for camping. Thanks for the information and the links to the products

I’ve had my 2.5 shank, 6 inch drop 180 for many years. And love it.

I have the heavyweight weigh distribution system from them and I bought a regular hitch from them and just put it on the shank from my wd system and it works wonderful. And the 2 5/16 adapter is awesome. Easy way to move the camper around without getting the big boy out. My in laws used it to haul a new race trailer home from Tulsa and they never felt unsafe using it the 1000 mile drive home down 44.

I love Weigh safe I own the middleweight weight distribution! Great product and awesome construction.

I know every truck is different, but can you open your tailgate with your middleweight? I don't want to purchase a heavyweight just for that, but it is nice.

I agree with 8563 below. A video on articulating hitches pros, cons, and brand features would be worth viewing.

I actually just ordered the aluminum 6" drop with scale, keyed alike receiver lock, 2" & 2 5/16" ball inserts. I have a motorhome & a Durango, and I wanted a hitch that would work for both. I figured the scale would help stop me overloading the Durango's self-leveling suspension & I passed on the 180 b/c I was afraid the motorhome might drag the down ball pulling into driveways. Here's hoping, anyway.

That ball adapter is a cool idea. Makes me wonder if you could take a standard 1 7/8” then add a 2” adapter, then the larger on top of that. Pretty cool idea.

That 2 5/16 adapter really looks SUPER SKETCHY!!! But, I'm certain that it has been DOT approved

Agreed and for me something else to loose!

I’ve used it several times to help move my camper around real quick and it does a wonderful job. My in laws used my truck to go to Tulsa to pick up a new racing trailer and they ended up having to use it my 2” weigh safe with the extension to 2 5/16 and they said they never at one point felt unsafe pulling with it back up 44 1000 miles back home.

Do you have any videos on articulating hitches?

Hey JD! What size drop rise do you usually run on the f-450? I have a stock 21 f-250 and I not sure if I should get a 4” drop or a 6” drop. Have any insight on what to choose ?

I have 6" drops but I'm usually around then 4" drop mark

I'm not saying it's a bad product, but why only include a lock for the ball portion and not the hitch pin as well? So they can't steal the ball, but they can just pop the pin out and steal the entire thing. Now I'd have to buy a separate lock for the hitch pin and add another key to keep track of.

My weighsafe lost its oil which makes the gauge inoperable within 3 months after 2 tows , Weighsafe did not stand behind it and neither did e-trailer.

I'm confused. If I want bigger balls, should I cover them in steel or aluminum? Asking for a friend.
