After watching a lot of your videos, I decided to try your 433 using defensive wingers. I have not had this much fun in ages. What an absolute game changer DW’s are. At this stage in the game, it being out for 10 months, I usually get a bit bored, but starting again with DW’s has made me love my save again. Thank you pal!

I've once created a 4-4-2 with 2 FB on attack, 2 standard CB, 2 DMC, defend and support, 2 WP and 2 AF (sometimes PF in big games) which worked incredibly well, specially as underdogs. De WP's would pass into space to the AF's or find the full backs out wide. That's my favorite tactic I've ever created. 😅 I currently use a 4-3-1-2 with the same ideas as your 4-1-2-3 though. I am using a super asymetric tactic just now to confuse the bajeezuz out of the opposition. Its crazy how it works so good. They cant deal with it. 3 bpd one wb on support on the left in the more advanced position. DW on the right. Regista on the right side of midfield cm on att on the left side of midfield ss offset to the right AF in the centre and F9 off set to the left. Balanced mentality. Narrow width, shorter passing, higher tempo, focus down left right. Counter counter press distribute quickly roll out. High press higher def line prevent short and press much more often. If anyone is struggling do this. It over performs with any team.

That Como tactic, with defensive wingers, is effectively a more defensively solid version of the traditional 4-2-2-2 (with AM(L) and (R)). I find the M(L)/(R) and just harder working (read better) AM(L)/(R). Also, I've heard that the Como tactic is possibly a mint underdog tactic, but I put it to good use in the MLS with LAFC and they are not the underdogs in my universe lol, definitely outperformed in the league where we were the dominate team than the CL (even tho we fluked our way to a final). But this was a great vid, I do love the tactical side of the same and trying to find ways to solve some random issues you get into in FM, like taking over a team with no full backs, or having all your CMs injured or something 😅😅

One instruction i use with quite attacking tactics is close down less, like yes they press up high but then they show patience to actually step up

I tend to use a 3-2-3-2 3cb, 2cm, 2wide am and 1 central am. As I realised that a save had no good wingbacks so tried something new feel in love with it and use it constantly now

Yes I love using this formation like the ones from old football, I sometimes do a 442 with a cm on attack in an inverted wingback to create that shape

This tactic is brilliant! I've got Raithfriland Rangers from NIFL Intermediate, to NIFL Premiership, I won the County Antrim Shield when I was in the NIFL Championship and qualified for the UEFA Conference League... and I just beat Ararat-Armenia 11-2 away in the First Leg of the Second Qualifying Round 😂

first one might work even better with a roaming playmaker as its the sole dm

It might not work because with a roaming playmaker they will just do a kante and run everywhere where as with the dm they just solely mark the defensive side of the midfield
