Well, "truer flight" doesn't mean "more accuracy", it means the ball won't go off its intented trajectory while moving in the air due to air resistance. It has nothing to do with how accurate you are, but with how the ball is built. The Adidas Jabulani used to steer off course so often, because its aerodynamics were shit, not because footballers couldn't place their shots properly. By the way, if you want to solve this problem, just make a 32 panel ball, like, you know, before all this bullshit with "new technologies". If there has to be one constant in the game, it should be the ball. You would think it was obvious enough.

I think the nike flight ball isn't necessarily going to make shots more accurate. Instead they claim 30% truer flight so it will remain more stable in the air (opposite of the jabulani 2010 world cup ball)

The Nike flight ball isn't about being more accurate, it's about the flight of the ball being more consistent, ie. The opposite of a jabulani which constantly knuckled. It's not gonna make your shots more accurate that's down to personal skill but it'll ensure if you have the accuracy that it'll be less likely to be taken by the air and moved out of the players control.

Actually, there's a misunderstanding on the Nike's claim: they promise 30% more truer flight of the ball when shooting, that is, the trajectory of the ball will be more consistent - what for marketing reasons they can call "accuracy" (and this doesn't necessarily mean hitting the target 30% more)

The glove glue test was done with 2 different types of gloves, some gloves are more gripey then others so it might not be so accurate. If he did the test with to of the same gloves then yes.

Not really, equipment doesn't give you an edge, unless you are barefoot and the next person wears football boots. All those new technologies like "extra grip" or "30% truer flight" or "super light speed boots" etc, are just marketing tools for the sports companies to sell their products over their competitors. If you are a better player it'll show no matter the shoes you are wearing or the ball you are using.

As much as I love your videos Kieran I have to say the first test was very poor scientifically. You made an analysis on the spread of the balls which only tests the shooters accuracy/consistency and will pretty much tell you nothing about the footballs. Not to mention how you didn't rule out the anomalies caused by human error. This test would be useful if the footballs were programmed to hit top bins every time but they simply aren't.
