Gender Roles are an example of a social construct, since realistically, andy gender can do whatever they want, but most society discourages us to, because it doesnt apply to their assigned gener roles. Age however, is something that can be calculated. Even if society tells you are 10 yrs old, even if it has been 15 years since you were born, then you are actually 15, irregardless of what society tells you.

This is literally why bullying is important. It teaches people social norms and what's acceptable. This idea that everyone has to be respected and their identity is all that matters breeds these types of people. NOT all ideas are equal. NOT all identifies are valid.
