Great little Corydoras species.. there are a few different pygmy types. Are you using root tabs for your Amazon swords.. they are pretty hungry plants. Your Limnophila sessiliflora should go crazy growth wise once established.

Nice man, its fun to see you turning to the dark side (smaller) of the force (fishkeeping) :) Pygmy Corydoras are super cute and a heap of fun!!! Brill video bud!!

Thanks Paul for another interesting video. For your plants to flourish. Rich substrate topped with sand (corydoras will Thank You). Their whiskers are delicate, they like to sift through sand, gravel is very hard on them. Hope you don't mind me saying. New subscriber. Kind Regards, Candy

I thought the thumbnail was clickbait at first! So if you've had them for over a week Paul, they must have spawned by now in your magic water. I think these are the smallest fish I've kept, although ember tetras and rasbora maculata are around the same size. A dozen embers would look cool in that tank mate.
@bigfishlad48473 ай бұрын
🤣 Not spawned yet Gil, I have look at Embers and Chilli Rasboras so maybe an option

These are great little fish mate. They really force you to look for suitable tabk mates which means going outside of the norm. I found these go really well with something small that shoals well. They'll even shoal with other fish. The little Green Neon tetras work really well as to a great classic, Harlequin Rasbora. Another stunning tank mate for these are Celestial Pearl Danios aka galaxy rasbora. These little guys are just awesome. But if you're looking to go even smaller and have a grest tank chilli rasbora would be a cool addition!
@bigfishlad48473 ай бұрын
Thanks Gav, yes been looking at chilli rasboras and embers but some nice suggestions here, pearl danios never thought of that I do actually love zebra danios
@GavsFishRoom3 ай бұрын
@@bigfishlad4847 CPD's Celestial Pearl Danios are a very different beast from their larger cousins. Much shyer, but stunning fish. I've got embers in my little corys. Another fantastic choice is the humble cherry barb. They are just stunning. Super hardy and absolute softies. And the long-fin variety that's quite popular now are stunning. Oh, and don't forget Cherry shrimp. Ah man, I will have to do another nano tank now because of you! :D

Really good video, mate. I really enjoyed that. Ron from Garage is a top bloke, and his tanks are boss. Was that plant limnophila sessiflora? I know it as Ambulia but we all seem to speak Latin these days. The swords mate, if you're not having much luck, they are heavy, heavy root feeders. If they aren't getting enough nutrients from the soil, try some root tabs.
@bigfishlad48473 ай бұрын
Thanks Keith, yes thats the plant mate lol, getting a lot of new growth on tje swords but do have some.root tabs if I need them matr

Talking of small fish, I quite fancy setting up a cold water tank again at some point and catching some sticklebacks in my local river. I love them in a tank and they're so easy to keep and breed.
