Thanks. I appreciate the compliment. Prices are crazy right now. They haven't dropped at all from new. I'm not sure on the wheels. I like these other than they're getting powder coated a different color for sure. I'm thinking about 11 in the rear to fit 305 and 10-10.5 in the front to fit 285s. Not sure though, it's a big investment and I'd rather drop that into more hp.

@@dorian_vlogs Fair enough. I want mine to look like yours except I'd probably keep my warranty and not do performance mods for a bit and in exchange go for some wheels. Got a Genesis Coupe right now so I'm sure the power bump will be more than enough for me at least for the first year or two.

Yeah for sure that's the correct way to go, keep your warranty simply cause you never know with these things. Those genesis coupes are no joke, they would give my E92 M3 a run for it's money. There is one in my neighborhood that looks sick. As far as power, a stock Supra is good for a while. It's doing 0-60 in the 4s, some in the high 3s and quarter mile is in the 12s so that's plenty of fun. A good stance with a nice pair of shoes definitely keeps you interested in the build. 😉

Bolt ons. Piggy back tune. That's it as far as I know. The tune is crucial in order to get the most out of the b58. Still a dope ride and eventually someone will crack the tune issue.

I also did 13mm spacers all around. I decided against 15 mm in the rear just in case I ever decide to go 285 wide tires in the rear. Other than that all i have are mudguards, AMS carbon wind deflectors, and an Amazon storage compartment for the center console. I’m patiently waiting for someone to hack the 2022 ECU so I can take it to Titan for the intake, charge and down pipe and tune. My MkV puts a smile on my face every day. Anybody have any recommendations?

I just pulled the trigger on a 2021. I pick it up this weekend. I have recently read something about the ECU being "locked" and not tunable in newer ones. Would you be able to shed any light on this?

Congrats. 2021 and newer can't be tuned unless the ecu is removed from the car and shipped to a tuner. They'll tune it and ship it back to you and you have to reinstall it. This has to be done every time you need to re-tune for any reason. They're still cool, just more work.

Look up how to check the ECU manufacture date, if it’s before 6/20 you’re able to be tuned. If it’s after 6/20 it’s locked. There’s videos here on KZbin that show you how to wiggle the ecu out to check the date

@Joey N cool. The only regret is I modified it too fast. Too many mods too fast.. it sucked the fun out of the build. Take your time if you're going to modify it. Enjoy the mod then go on to the next one. The car is great. I'm moving on to the next one. Gt3 or gt3 rs, not sure. But the supra is still an attention piece everywhere.

You don't know how true that statement is. Let me explain. This car is so good that it gets boring at times. It's consistent but it doesn't have that fun factor. It may be the lack of a manual transmission. It may be the fact that I walk V8's consistently and effortlessly. Not sure.. it's a tuner's platform for sure but sometimes it lacks the fun factor. I do enjoy all the attention in the while though, thumbs up, pictures and the ooohs and awes.. that doesn't get old. 😉

Hey brother, just subscribed. I just got my 2022 3.0, and I have an HKS exhaust, catted DP and an AEM intake. I can only install my catback since my ECU is locked. 2 questions in case you know. Do you think eventually someone in the US will crack the code so I can tune, you think it will be a long ass wait? Second, the only thing I can do as far as tuning is a JB4, will that work for now and account for my intake and downpipe? Or is it a complete waste of money? Thanks

Hey my man. You still got a bad a** Supra. I'm sure someone will crack it eventually. Jb4 is a piggy back tune and in my opinion is better than nothing if you want a tune. Unless, and this is a big if, if you have a long term goal to build a crazy fast car, jb4 isn't going to work long term. What I mean is e85, meth and big turbo. If this is your goal, don't do the jb4 and bite the bullet with removing the computer and shipping it to a tuner(risky I know). I'm not sure if this is an option and don't know who's done it but I'm thinking you buy a computer from a 2020 crashed supra and swap it for yours. Keep yours stock and play with the 2020 computer. This would be what I would do but that's just me. Hope this helps.

@@bosteropirata that's a great point. You should do some research since the engine is slightly different. Everything else is the same but timing and boost will definitely be different so best to do some research before committing to buying ecu. That's what I would have done if I got a 2021+ or now with the manual coming it definitely crossed my mind. Who knows if it'll work though but I can't imagine it won't.

@@dorian_vlogs brother, I have a question, I had a shop install my HKS exhaust and I want to make sure the flap is working correctly. The flap only opens and closes by pushing the sport button when the engine is on. If you put the car in accessory mode by pressing the start button without pressing on the brake pedal, is the flap supposed to open and close when you press the sport button? I don’t know anyone with a Supra that can check for me. It will save me a useless trip to the stealership. If you ever have time, can you put your car in accessory mode and press the sport button and go to the back of your car and see if the flap opens and closes? I’m asking because the shop that installed the exhaust said he might have damaged my actuator when he installed it. It wasn’t working at all but now only works which the engine on. No worries. If I'm not mistaken, what you're trying to do is start the car in sport mode. It won't work unless you get bimmer code. It's not the tune that does it, it's bimmer code that'll give you the ability to do that. It won't work either way if you have a tune, jb4 or any other rune to start the car on accessory mode. It has to be on to be able to open the flap. Hope this helps.

@Liquidizing congrats bro. Still a great choice. The ecu on yours has to be removed from the car and shipped to a tuner by mail. It cannot be done at home. 2020 is the only year that can. You need to know that before you sign. Still a great car but unless the tuner is close by, you have to ship it to them. I can't help with the 2021+ ecu process because honestly I don't know.

Gotcha. Two different worlds and power levels. I've walked a few hellcats. 392's are no match in any way shape or form. And I'm a dodge guy, I love the challenger hellcat but power to weight ratio after these mods just makes the car superior to many v8's. The supra is already a V8 killer. I've beaten a 5.7, 6.1, and 6.4 Charger and Challenger, GT Mustangs, and Camaro SS'. Surprisingly even managed to take down a 2018 Porsche Panamera gts by almost a car length. I have a 2022 3.0 premium, still stock for now.

I'm at 476 whp with stock turbo. Haven't done meth or e85 because I'm selling the car. If I keep it, I'm doing top mount turbo, e85, 35 shot and possibly meth, csf heat exchanger, stage 1 trans. Going for 700-750 wheel. But I doubt it because I want to get rid of it. Great car but I miss the manual. Who knows.

@@dorian_vlogs damn, that's impressive numbers on stock turbo. Sadly, I wouldn't be able to do as well here in Las Vegas because we only get 91 octane, and I don't want to deal with meth or e85, so bigger turbo would be my best option to reliably hit the power level I'm looking for.

Gotcha. We have 93 and e85 on every corner. Bigger turbo is definitely the right way to go. My goal from the beginning was to beat the GT2 RS. Big turbo on a base 93 tune turbo takes care of that. These things continue to impress.

The supercharged v8s I've ran with and walked would disagree with you. Putting down the power that you have is just as important as the amount. Power to weight ratio is even more important than that. What you're saying is if someone has 700 hp, they automatically win. Not if they weigh 4500lbs they don't. Power to weight ratio is a big factor. In this case a 3350 lbs car with 550hp, takes the run. Make sense? I love American muscle bro, but you have to be impartial when it comes to facts. I prefer the sound of a supercharged ls engine, or a coyote, predator or even a low reving supercharged pushrod v8 when they wind up but, facts are facts. A 5 cyl audi ttrs with a downpipe and tune smokes almost all American cars in a quarter mile and in a roll. Power to weight ratio>displacement. Most times..

@@dorian_vlogs power to weight is the most important thing. but your apples and oranges here. i could care less about drag racing. the valve train of a mustang is very different to the valve train of an audi. my 2005 v8 4runner is a 4.7 and puts out 271 hp and 325 tq most modern v8s put that to shame because of valve train technology. that 5 cyl audi you spoke of with an extra cylinder would kill. the real culprit here is emissions.

@@dorian_vlogs I'm not a jerk, but sometimes i should need to be one. I don't race my car, but let me tell ya my experience which is i used to be bullied by these jerks and stupid idiot on the road. Our main road here, are small with two lanes carriage way. Right lane is for faster cars. I always go to some place on the weekend and usually i sped up to 140km/h for an hour and 10 minutes journey more or less, and with my honda odyssey 2.4 vtec nothing changed stock and slow picking up, whenever i clash with these people, i always pissed off and the way they do is they drive slow on the right lane, and letting me to wait for him to finish his car overtaking first. Tailgate them too close, surely they give you way, switch to the left but as soon as i overtake they'll tailgate me even worse and it's kinda bullying shit even i floor it, it's just nothing.it looks like i am pulling his car with a short tow bar. That close. Now i have the beast, so let's turn the table around boy! 😄👍🏻
